"As you all can tell I've called you here for a meeting. I would like to discuss furthering the progression to give rights to our people." Markus' voice booming all throughout the large room holding a round table where he and his 4 fellow Co-leaders of the revolution are sat.
"So any ideas?"
Connor wasn't paying attention to the conversation. He felt like he didn't belong there.
He thought that he wouldn't be fit to be
co-leading a revolution. He felt out of place.
He wasn't paying attention but he could see the stern faces of North and Markus as they continuously argue about the way to go about things. The difference between their leading strategies are like the differences between up and down.
Markus was a pacifist who wanted to cause no harm to ensure that Androids and Humans can Co-exist in harmony.North however wanted things a little differently. She wanted a Revolution. She wanted violence and bloodshed to make sure the humans realize that we are a new species and whoever didn't want to accept that will die.
He didn't have a side in this argument. Hell, he didn't even want to be there in the first place. But as the man with the responsibility of Handling the Android crimes'. Whether and Android committed a crime of a human abused or killed one of these sentient beings. The only reason he was given the responsibility is because he was the first Android cop in the world who works freely.
He still didn't understand how the man he was
supposed to kill had been so friendly and understanding. He still felt the guilt. He almost ended the the rights of the Androids. He almost killed the chance of freedom for his people. And Connor had to live with that on his subconscious, that and he's killed deviants who realized that they were alive;and that they wanted freedom, They weren't violent they were just trying to reach a safe haven for people like themselves. He finally snapped out of his thoughts and tuned into the conversation.
"Thank you Josh, that is exactly my point we need to keep things calm between us and the government. The public is on our side and they will support us."
"Yes but don't you understand we are being too nice" North was quickly cut off by Markus
"We are being NICE ENOUGH TO ENJOY THE PEACE BETWEEN OURSELVES AND-"
He quickly cut himself off and taking deep breaths to try to calm himself down.He looks like he wants to explode with anger.
He suddenly stood up and took fast steps and barged through the door and closed it behind him with such might, it caused a loud thud that everyone jumped at the sound.
Everyone was surprised.
Even Connor was surprised he had never seen the calm collected pacifist like that.
"Is anyone going to go after him" Simon said breaking the silence.
The room was filled with silence for a few seconds. The tension stilled loomed in the air before north suggested that she go and check on him but everyone shot down that idea like a firing squad.
Connor hung his head as he thought about going up and checking on the leader.
He's sure that the pressure of leading such a massive community can get to ones head and make them exponentially stressed.
He's felt it to in his job as a detective in the Detroit Police Department. He has to be constantly ready if a case were to come in. He was living with hank and has no where else to go. And when he would be recharging his energy he would wake up at any given time of the night to investigate.
