~Garfield's Point of View~

The first time I discovered about my powers, everything wasn't as cool as we all thought when we wanted to have superpowers. Before I received my powers, I was ill with a rare disease called "Sakutia", thanks to a green monkey my parents created a serum that was supposedly bring me back to normal, but what they didn't expect was my skin and hair color turning into green. That's when my life began to take a chaotic turn. Later on I began to discover about my new powers and they were not so nicely welcome by me or my parents. My parents tried everything to make me normal again, but the harsh reality was that I was never going to get the change be normal again.

After that I rarely went outside because of the fear of what people's thoughts may make me feel, and slowly I was hating every minute I spent home locked up doing nothing and without socializing with my friends. So, I escaped from home, morphed into an animal and never returned home. My new hunt was to search for the perfect place for me to stay in, but city after city I never really got my calling. And at the time I was found in an dark alleyway, in a rainy night, with my favorite red and white long sleeved t-shirt, some ripped jeans and my converse, crying out in frustration. I knew that I could never "fit it" or that I could never go home again, and I just didn't knew what to do anymore, I ran out of ideas and options. Everything for me turned dark and monotone, like everything was over. Until he came...

"Hey, hey... Are you all right? What are you doing here up in the middle of the nigh, it's raining and its cold." Said a boy shorter than me, with a (H/c) hair, (E/c) eyes with dimples in his cheeks, and a smooth skin. He was breathtaking and beautiful. "Why are you crying..?" He asked softly while approaching to me cautiously. Me being in a not so good state, I decidedly to hide my skin color from him in the darkness, but he stopped me. "Hey, don't worry, I'm here to help you." He smiled kindly at me, and everything around us began to change, beautiful flowers were growing everywhere you didn't expect they'd grow. The mood slowly went to a sad and dull, to a warm and comforting one. He was looking at me, directly to my eyes as he offered me his hands that I was so worried that I would stain. "You must be hungry. Come." He motioned me to follow him and I took his hand. "My name is (Y/n), what's yours?"

"M-My name is Garfield..." I said softly while looking down. "Aren't you scared or disgusted by me? By the way I look?" I asked turning my head to another direction. He chuckled cutely and I look at him while blushing, the flowers around us started glowing as I was surprised to see the color of his skin.

"Why would I? We're the same!" He smiled warmly at me again and I started to recognize the faint greenish color of his skin. "Take this, I'm pretty sure you're hungry, my plants told me you've been out in the streets of many cities." He said while handling fruits that came from vines that were on top of us.

"Thank you!" I said while munching the fruits he kindly gave me. He welcomed me and chuckled. "If you don't mind me asking, how is your skin green?" I asked and we sat in the alleyway.

"Well, that come from genetics. It's all thanks to my mother." He said while shrugging at his words. "How about you? If you don't mind me asking."

I told him my story and even how I ended up on this place. He didn't seem quite happy about it, he was sad to know that I was sleeping on the streets and eating out garbage disposals.

"I really want to help you to be in a stable place and have a stable life, but seeing how humans can sometimes be, that may have some negative impact against you. If I could I would let you stay at home, but my mom isn't quite fond of humans, maybe she would let it pass since you are and can become the animal kingdom, but then again, you were kind of a human experiment..." As he said this both of us look down, and sighed in disappointment.

"I'm thankful for your help anyways. After all this was the fist time I talked with someone after my incident. It was really nice." I said and chuckled while I scratched the back if my head.

"Oh! I have an idea!" He said with a cute grin in his fave while blushing.

His idea consisted on him turning into a villain and captured me in front of everyone with commotion so the heroes could help me and maybe stabilize my life. The idea seemed quite interesting and everything, but I didn't like for the one who took care of my for a couple of minutes to be recognized by all the people as a villain when he was actually trying to help me. Believe me I denied but he managed to convinced me, but I told him I wasn't happy with it.

After that, we put our plan into action and it worked! I thanked him and he escaped. I've turned into a hero, and made some new friends that were now a family to me. I was living that stable life he said I would live and so much more! But sadly we couldn't be together out in the public, and now it wasn't because of my color and powers, but because he was a menace to the world because of me. Everything I became was thank to him, and everything that he become was thanks to me.

Even though we get to have secret meetings to spent time and hangout together, our friendship just wasn't enough to us for over the year and half we knew each other. I was planning to ask him out, but when I was about to do it, something was already changing inside him, he was no longer the person he was, he was turning to a completely different person and I was as I feared. It was all thanks to me.
