Chapter One: The Lazy Student

" Riye! Pay Attention! " The teacher screamed at the sleeping girl. Her dark brown hair falling over her shoulders, she opened her bright amber eyes at the screaming male.

"Do you have to scream?" She sneered in an bored manner. ' How annoying. I just wanted to sleep. ' Riye thought to herself. The rest of her classmates snickered at the scene in front of them.

"I swear Riye, how do you have the highest score in the entire class. " Mr. Ruko sighed. " All you ever do is sleep! Do you even know what we were talking about?"

Riye rolled her eyes at him and put her head down in her hand. " You were talking about U.A or some shit like that. " Of course she knew what they were talking about. She wasn't stupid, it was almost the end of the year. The year where people would go on to hero school's and try to become heroes. Not that she really cared what school she go to. Work is just a drag to her.

"No Swearing!" Mr. Ruko hit the back of Riye's head. Riye winched in pain as she held the back of her head.

" What the hell was that for?" She growled at her teacher very annoyed. "What happened to student protection!"

Tick marks formed on Ruko's head. "YOU'RE BARELY A STUDENT! ALL YOU EVER DO HERE IS SLEEP AND EAT!" He yelled.

"What else should I do here? Look at your ugly mug all day? No thank you. " Riye said before laying her head down back on the desk in front of her.

"Don't you dare go back to sleep Riye!" Ruko yelled before sighing. " What school are you applying to?" He asked. " You haven't submitted your paper. "

Riye sighed and reached down to her bag. She pulled out a crumpled paper and handed to Ruko.

" The least you could do is keep it nice. " Ruko eye twitched as he grabbed the crinkled paper and read it. " You want to go to U.A?" Ruko looked at the paper more closely and growled. "Riye this isn't your handwriting. Did you have one of your brothers write this for you?!" He yelled waving the paper around.

" I don't remember. It might have been my dad. I forgot. " Riye shrugged and closed her eyes. But before she could get yelled at again the bell rang. Everyone scurried to get out of the classroom. Riye grabbed her bag and quietly walked out of the small classroom. ' Finally I thought I'd be in there forever. ' Riye thought as the breeze swept past her.
She watched as her classmates laughed and smiled and made their way home.

Riye walked down the crowed street, avoiding getting bumped or hit by people. 'What a drag...there's so many people here. ' She thought as she made her way to the bus station.
