Holy shit.
"Gabe!" I said to my best friend who was asleep in the seat next to me in my dads Cadillac SUV.
"Oh my god Coven what do you even want," she grumbled and pulled the strings of her hoodie tight so that her face was hidden.
"Check out this rink!" I smiled, "Its probably bigger than our entire city dude"
"Not quite but you're probably close," My dad chuckled from the drivers seat.
"I don't care just let me sleep," Gabriella groaned. "Its not like I'm not going to look at this building for a full week."
"Wow Im so sorry miss shitty attitude" I said back to Gabriella who seemed to be falling back to sleep already. Christ, she can sleep forever.
"Mm"
"Okay for real you have to wake up like we're two minutes away"
"Coven chill thats two minutes that I don't want to lose."
"Oh my god you are the laziest person I know."
"You won't be saying that when I kick your ass at bag skate."
"In your dreams, sister."
"Alright ladies, we're here," Dad laughs as we slowed to a stop. He put the SUV in park and turned around in his seat to look at us. "Now I expect both of you to kick some major dusty ass, alright ladies?"
"I already have my swiffer packed," I give him a quick kiss on the cheek before I get out and and walk around back to grab my bags. "Love you, Dad!"

After Gabe and I grabbed all 500 pounds of shit that we decided to pack out of the SUV, we said our goodbyes to my dad and he drove off. This was home for the next two weeks.
"Okay so now where do we check in?" Gabe asked me in an exhausted voice.
"I've been here as long as you have sweetheart," I huffed as we walked through the glass doors from the big ass parking lot to the lobby of this gigantic arena, where we will hopefully get checked into the try-outs.
"Whatever," Gabe mumbled as we made our way to the front desk and slammed all of our shit on the ground.
"Oh thank god that was the longest walk of all eternity," I sighed and leaned onto the desk looking at the elderly lady who was looking at us as if we had just hoped off of the crazy train. "Hey, where can we check into the Junior Draft Camp?"
"Right here, but I need to see your brothers or whoever is actually going into the camp thank you." The old lady behind the large cedar desk said before going back to type whatever she was typing before.
"Yeah actually, we're the ones going into the camp." Gabe snapped.
"Oh," the lady looked up at us again and rolled her eyes. "names please."
"Hartly, Gabriella." Gabe said as the lady typed twice as fast as before and clicked like fifty things.
"Okay, thank you. You will be dorming with the only other young lady here who luckily for you is also your friend I guess." The lady said in a monotone voice. "Kelly, Coventina. Is that right?"
"Yes, thank you." I replied.
"Follow the hallway to the far left of the foyer, at the end of the hallway is another set of doors, there you have to turn right and go up a set of stairs..." She continued on explaining in her favourite non-emotional tone for what seemed hours. "Hello? Did you understand?"
"Oh, yes, thank you." I said and picked up my suitcase, three duffle bags, my gear bag and my sticks.
"Did you even catch any of that?" Gabe asked once we were far enough that the front desk lady couldnt hear us.
"Nope. Did you?"
"Nope. Off to a great start here."
"Yeah .." I replied as some guy ran into my gear bag making me drop pretty much everything.
"Oohhh my god," I cursed and bent down to pick everything up.
"Jesus, I'm so sorry babe," The guy said before he bent down to help pick up a few bags. "So why are you two pretty ladies here?"
