Friends, or Foes?

Chapter 3

After we arrived at Hogwarts in what seemed like hours; we got on a small boat (which Percy seemed pretty happy about but Nico an I were scared to death) and rode to the castle. It was huge. If Annabeth were here she would be babbling about how great the architecture is.
After we stepped inside we saw
the half giant from the train so we walked up to him.
" Um... where are we supposed to go?" asked Percy.
"You have to wait until the first years are sorted. You will be a seventh year student and the hat will determine what house you are in." The giant said. I nodded understanding. Chiron told us this before we left.
After the first years were sorted I heard Professor Mcgonagall say that 'we have very special students who will be in the seventh year.' Right the the doors creaked open and we stepped inside. Everybody was quiet as I observed the students. I could tell Nico and Percy were doing the same.
"They will now be sorted." she said as she picked up a hat.
" Di Angenlo, Nico!" called professor. Nico nervously went and sat on the stool. Professor placed the hat on his head and after a few minutes shouted Gryfyndoor! He sat down in the table where there was clapping and waited for us to get sorted.
" Jackson, Percy!" yelled Professor. Percy attempted to walk there boldly but ends up tripping over his own feet and falling on the floor. The whole room was laughing. I even saw Professor crack a smile! Percy finally sits on the stool after a lot of grabbing things including the professor. She placed the hat on his head but right after the hat touch his hair it automatically shouts 'Gryfyndoor!' Everybody had there mouths open while Percy tried to make it to the table without tripping over anything.
" Grace, Thalia." the professor said. I winced as she said my last name. I made it to the stool without embarrassing myself unlike Percy did and sat down. The hat shouted Gryfyndoor and I made my way over to the table. We finished eating and was about to go to bed when we heard a piercing noise. Then a scream. All of a sudden darkness and only darkness filled my sight and I collapsed on the floor seeing everybody fall down as well.
