I got out the car with excitement jumping all over the place with my best friend and a few of the other dancers!!!!! I still couldn’t believe it; life was going pretty well for me right now. If my best friend had not come with me right now I would not be here. Bradley Baker and I had been best friends for about all my life, he was like a big brother to me (I know, cliché moments! there will be lots of them!) and he has been there all my life. OK, back to the moment here, me, Kathy Brooke Renee Davis is a back-up dancer for THE ONE AND ONLY (drum roll please) Aiden Shane Harper!  He is the international heart-throb of teenage girls! We were still waiting for McKenna, our other best friend. She is ALWAYS late too big things like this. So while we waited for the body guards to escort us down to the lobby and wait for Aiden.

“I am just so happy right now!! Gosh, I just can’t wait for this,” I told Bradley

“Me too Kathy, you are just so lucky that McKenna and I agreed to come for this tour.” Bradley told me back.

I know it’s pretty weird, but being a back-up dancer had been my lifelong dream. Every time when I was young, my mom or my dad asked me what I want to be when I grow up, my answer would always be back-up dancer. Most girls answer would be something like, a princess or a cowgirl and that stuff but I had already made up my mind.

When my parents actually realized that I wanted to be a back-up dancer, they had huge fit! My mom, Renee Davis, and my dad, Israel Davis, wanted me to be a doctor. So it took a whole lot of good grades and convincing for them to let me be a back-up singer. As for Bradley and McKenna, their parents were pretty easy about the whole thing. Lucky them. And also McKenna was a bad-ass, like a bad reputation. So her parents though the back-up dancing would be like a boot camp or something. Wow they are clueless.

Then I heard a engine. I automatically started to run to the motorcycle and tackle McKenna with hugs. A motorcycle, I should’ve known. I ran up to her faster than I could run up to free puppies.

“McKenna!!!!!!! You are late again!” I tried to sound mad as I could, but obviously, it didn’t work.

She laughed and said, “I’m very sorry mom, okay, now this “dancing stuff’ better be worth it”. Saying hello was not her thing where not her things. I saw Bradley walking over here with all the female dancers swooning over him. I forgot to mention that Bradley was the golden boy at our school, GreenHill High. Then when the girls saw where he was going, all of their faces turned angry. Wow my first day here and I already made friends, I thought sarcastically.

“Hey ‘Kenna, nice job being late” Bradley laughed, “We need to wait for a few more minutes before we can go get settled down.

“Okay Brad, my name isn’t Kenna, its McKenna, stupid one” McKenna retorted back. They continued fighting back and forth for about 5 minutes while I was thinking about myself. I wondered if you could date other dancers………WHAT THE HECK KATHY? You are dancing, not getting boyfriends. Then everything got quiet and everybody was staring at someone. That person was me; I was talking out loud and still am. I quickly blushed while one of the jealous girls told me to shut up, the doors were opening. Then everyone’s attention was on the door. I nervously shifted closer to my bickering friends and brushed my hands through my caramel colored hair. Then the door opened.
