It was Thursday and 20 minutes until Aiden and his mom reached the hotel. How did I know? All the fans in the hotel.I was holding Ruby in my arms while the other ones were playing around the hotel lobby. I wish I had this day off, but my mom was still at L.A. It was a little hard for them to play since the lobby was crowded with pre-teen fangirls chatting. I had to keep them close just in case I didn't lose them.
"Hey slut-bitch", I heard a snotty voice say. Not this again. I rolled my eyes as I saw Shanna. She was the ultimate bitch. LIke the queen of the them. When I got back to school, she was the first to insult me from many others.
"Hi, could you please not cuss around the little ones", I asked her wearily as I gestured to the litle kid in my arms.
"Mommy, what does swut-bitch mean?", Ruby asked. Time to make up a lie.
"It mea-"
"It's your mom, little girl", Shanna said, her blue eyes focusing on the door.
"Mommy, you are a good slut-bitch!", She screamed while girls turned to stare at us. I felt my cheks go red and informed Ruby it was a bad word and she shouldn't say it.
"Then why did she say it momma?"
"Because she is a bad girl", I said, and Shanna scoffed and walked away to her latest 'fake friend', as McKenna and I called it. Right now, they were at San Francsisco for their 2 year anniversary. Bradley and McKenna had almost canceled their trip for me since Aiden was coming to town. That would be selfish of me if I made them cancel their trip.
I started to round up the kids, because it was break time for me and I didn't want to run into Aiden or his mom. I heald on the leash of Toasty, Azula, and Bailey and started to walk to my van. So far, so good.
" Hold hands everybody, and has Mickie given you your gummie bears guys?" I asked them. Mickie was one of my co-workers and he very sweet. I heard all kinds of yes's but there were 2 voices missing.
"Zoe? Andrew??" I asked in a scared voice as I noticed they weren't there. I looked around panickly and told a random person to look after them. He can be mad at me later.
I saw Zoe and Andrew in the corner of my eye as I noticed they were in the hotel park chasing a squirrel. Kids.
In a blink of an eye, they were right in front of me in someone's hand.
"Thank you so much", I said, taking Zoe and Andrew from the good samaritan. I rubbed my forehead and looked up at the man. I almost choked on air. I looked up into someone's familiar brown eyes an got lost in them. There goes ignore, ignore, ignore.
"You're welcome", his sweet silky voice said. I frowned at him, showing no more affection.
"I would slap you right now, but the paparrazi is watching, so I will hug you, and PRETEND I like you," I whispered quietly, and hugged him, his intoxicating, addictive smell filled my nose. I called over the rest of my kids and dogs while saying thanks to the man who randomly watched him for me. Aiden smiled at them with great fatherly affection, and bent down to say hi to each and one of them. Then there came his mom.
"Oh my gosh, Kathy!! I hae wanted to meet you and your cute kids, in like, forever!!", Ms. Harper said, reminding me of my mom. She also bent down, while Aiden stood up, still talking to them.
"What are their names?", Ms.Harper asked me.
"Oh well, that's Jeff, Ruby, Andrew, Renee, Riley, McKenna, Bradley, Zoe, Jordyn and A-Aiden.", I said, stumbling on Aiden.
"Why doesn't Aiden talk? I wish I had grand-children this cute", Ms. Harper said. That seemed to put a damper on the mood. Talk about awkward, those are your grand-kids. I looked into Aiden eyes, as I caught him staring at me. I got to deep into his gaze again, as he smiled his heart-stopping smile as me as his eyes moved down to my arms and he stopped smiling. I looked down to as I noticed that my bruises, new freshly ones from yesterday and before, were still visible on my arm. I pulled down my sleeve nervously, wondering why I even put it up in the first place.
Aiden gave me a worried and questioning look, and I ignored him while telling his mom that I had to go, it was time for lunch.
"We could invite you over to lunch if you like?" Ms. Harper asked me.
"Oh we-" Why is everyone interrupting me these days?
"YES!! We can totally go!!", Jeff interrupted me, she looked at me with his purple-brownish eyes and I couldn't resist.
"Well, you heard him, I guess we can go", I said, laughing.
"Oh goodie! Let us go get settled and you can meet us in about 30 minutes, since we don't know anywere about this town. I nodded and walked to my car, buckling every one, and every dog, in, while I heard the screams of girls started. Shanna trying to be the loudest. What did I just get myself into?
