Ch.3 Birthday Surprises

Today's Kenen, Kane, and I's birthday! We're finally 17! Yay!

Suri said that today is going to be an interesting day for me! I don't know is that's a good thing or a bad thing. She looked kinda worried.

It's around 11 am now and I'm still in bed suffering from the "flu". I'm so tired of being sick!

But even being sick I can barely contain my excitement! And if it wasn't for my weak body I would be off the bed and literally bouncing of the walls. 

Suddenly my bedroom door was slammed open and everyone came in. Marcus had both Kenen and Kane on his shoulders. He walked over to me and through them on the bed with me.

"Ready guys?", Marcus said.

"Yup!", everyone said.

"Okay 1, 2, 3, go!"

Everybody sang "Happy Birthday", but I had to ruin it by leaning over and throwing up at the end of it.

Everyone just looked at me. To break the awkward silence I said, "Thanks guys!"

"Yeah, thanks", agreed Kenen and Kane who were giving me worried looks.

"Laney and Jack made you guys a birthday cake! Do you feel well enough to come downstirs to eat it, kenadee?", asked Marcus concerned.

I didn't want to be the reason that everyone can't have a good time so I said, "Sure, just let me get dressed!" in a cheery voice.

I'm starting to feel a little better so it's not like I can't handle being up and downstairs for a little while.

After everyone left I looked in my closet for something to wear. I chose a light purple dress to match my eyes and pulled half my hair up in a braid. I slid the dress over my head. The silky fabric felt heavenly against my pale skin. The dress hung loosely on my now 95 pound body.

I must admit, even for being sick, I look pretty good! Well as good as I can look with a baggy dress and bags under my eyes.

I didn't put on any shoes or make up. I added a purple flower to my hair and headed down stairs.

I met with everyone in the kitchen and when I say everyone, I mean everyone! Marcus, Madeline, Declan, Arabella, Liam, Carly, Laney, Kane, Kenen, Suri, Gage, Raina, Andy, Darla, Brenden, Jack, Iris and Daisy. We had a full house!

Everybody complimented me on my dress, but I could see the worried glances they gave me because of the looseness.

Carly cut the cake and passed it around. My family loves cake for breakfast!

It was delicious and I'd managed to keep it down without feeling sick.

"So little sis, how does it feel to be 17?", asked Declan.

"No different then being 16, dearest brother."

"Well it should! You're one year older! And that mens one more present!", he exclaims.

You see my family has always had this tradition where we get however many presents due to what age we turn. This year Kenen, Kane and I will each get 17 presents, plus whatever we recieve from our brothers and sisters boyfriends and girlfriends.

"Dec, I think you're more excited than I am for presents!"

"I just can't help it! Wait till you open mine! It's amazing!"

I giggled. Declan has always loved present time, even if the gifts aren't for him! He's just a bubbly person! I guess that's why him and Raina are so perfect for eachother! Raina is adorable with her button nose and bouncing blonde curls.
