she pursed her lips as she decided to confront whoever the app set her with.
"Send request to chat with @ththth?" Hovering her finger over the accept button, she shuts her eyes and clicks yes.
Waiting for an accept, she drops her phone as if it's hot lava and paces around the room. Trying to undo the knot in her stomach, she messes up her hair as she let's out a silent shriek.
Huffing, she goes silent once she hears the familiar buzz. There's two outcomes after all. Rejection, or acceptance.
Scratching his head, he let's out a deep breath as he ponders on the thought of sending a request to the person on the other side.
Suddenly, a notification breaks his train of thought as he blinks hard. Was this person sending him a request?
Sucking in air, he decides to close his eyes and see what his conscience brings him to. Pressing on the screen, he waits a fee seconds before peeling his eyes open....He completely missed both the options on the screen.
Sighing, he lazily pressed on accept before realising what he did and his eyes growing triple it's original size.
He stares. The format was different, with swirls and patterns as the backdrop.
"Hello?" A text flashed. It wasn't from him. Oh god. He had to reply.
Honestly, taehyung wasn't a texter, he rarely ever replied to them, because he preferred talking on the phone instead.
With a throbbing heart, he takes a deep breath before sending out a message of his own.
"Do you mind if we, call each other?" Throwing his phone across his bed he scuttled away to a corner before he slowly approached it.
A familiar tune played as @bunnybottoms flashed. Pressing accept, he turns on the voice changer feature.
"Hey." He mumbled. "Oh, hey." The person on the other line mumbled back.

"So, how are you?" The person on the other line mumbled. And Joohyun was so close to spilling. But she couldn't, at least not to a stranger. "I'm, surviving well. And you?" She managed to mumble out.
"Oh, I'm tired. Not of this conversation of course, just, exhausted but, at the same time I can't to sleep either."
She was shocked. How could someone just spill their feelings out like they're telling something to someone they knew for 8 years.
"I have a question, are you a minor?" Joohyun couldn't help but mumble.
Silence. Before a hearty chuckle erupted from the other line. "Oh no, my last year being a minor was the year I debuted, which was a good while ago. And you?"
"No, no, no, my teen days are far behind me now." She said, smacking her head internally when she realised that her sentence sounded like a grandma's sentence.
The person chuckled again and Joohyun swore her heart flipped. "So, you're a girl right?" The person on the other line asked tentatively.
"Oh, yea. And you?" She asked. "Oh, im a male." His deep voice rumbled. Yes, it was 'high pitched', but his deep voice was very obvious and she was afraid she might drown in it. But, she wouldn't have minded now would she?
"How's your company? Im guessing you're not from the big three." She guessed. "He made a sound similar to the buzzer on a game show. "Yup, but I'm very happy with my company." He giggled and she could feel his proudness for his company oozing from the other end of the line.
The night was whisked away, as the two spent it talking, laughing and pouring their deepest secrets and fears out.
"Ah, bunny. I need to sleep now, i have a schedule set for tomorrow." He said after a while.
She frowned but hummed in response. "Ah, okay i guess. Good luck." She tried to hide the sadness in her tone but it was almost impossible.
"Ah, alas my dear bunny, our time together tonight has come to a close. But it doesn't mean the curtain will be drawn for long. We'll talk soon. How about tomorrow?" He said in this low daegu dialect that made her burst out in laughter.
"What the heck was that Shakespeare imitation?" She shrieked in glee as her head whipped back to let out a loud laugh. "Shh, don't embarrass me cmon, i thought we were friends...Just play along." He whispered in that daegu dialect and her heart did that weird flippy thingy again for about the 1940th time that night.
"Ok ok, oh my dear ththth, i am more than dissapointed that our night has come to an end, but I am sure that thy will contact me soon. I've had a wonderful night. It was nice talking to you for about 2 hours and I hope to talk to you soon. Now go sleep." She said with a smile plastered on her face.
"Ok but you broke out of character." He whined. And she couldn't help but curl the corner of her lips up.
"Ah don't complain. Now go sleep. I'll talk to you tomorrow then, goodnight, and have sweet dreams." She mumbled. "And the same to you. Good night, bunny. Sleep well." Was the last she heard before the line went dead.
••••••He felt warm. His heart was warm, and so was his face. That girl, bunny, she made his heart beat so loud, he was sure the entire complex could hear him. Her chuckles, bright laughter and deep voice enchanted him, even through that annoying voice changer.
He kicked his blanket and rolled around before settling himself in and finally, sleeping without beer for the first time in a while.
•••••
Joohyun was no different. After the line went dead, a silence engulfed her, and although she was already missing his voice, she felt warm and happy and finally, just finally. She might be able to sleep. And properly at that. His voice was the last thing she heard before she fell asleep that night.
And she did sleep, remarkably well at that. That night, instead of nightmares, she dreamt about Shakespeare.
