A Sobbing Mess

Todoroki P.O.V

After the villains were locked up and Midoriya was awake from his coma, everybody came to visit. Everybody brought him gifts, food and I never left his side. He gave everybody quite a scare, but I know, he was just trying to protect me.

Of course, when he was awake and able to hold a conversation, the police began asking him questions about his involvement with villains.

I was going to leave, but he grabbed my hand, giving me a weak smile.

"Stay with me" he said looking me in my eyes.

"Of course" I said as I sat by his side.

"Okay then. Midoriya how did you know about the villain attack?" The policeman had asked.

Midoriya took a deep breath.

"Well. I used to live with them" he said while looking down, tears filling his eyes, I grabbed his hand, and began rubbing it with my thumb, and he calmed down.

"Well." He said while taking a deep breath.

"My mother, Inko Midoriya, she died when I was a young boy, and they ended up taking me in. I know what you're thinking. I might be evil, but I promise I'm not." He said looking at the policeman in his eyes, and then I knew, that he wasn't lying.

"But they tried to make me do something evil." He said looking at the ceiling, tears falling out of  his beautiful eyes, as I wiped them away.

"They tried to make me kill Todoroki. They said if I told, they would take it in their own hands. I tried my best to stall and come up with a plan, but I couldn't. So when they came to attack, I decided I was gonna fight for Todoroki, even if it had costed me my life." He said smiling at me.

That damn smile.

"Okay. Midoriya, you said your mother's name is Inko Midoriya. Correct?" The policeman said, looking at a book, going towards the front of the book.

"Yes officer. Why?"

"Well. I'm sorry to say this but."

He said while sighing, I knew it was going to be bad news. So I pulled Midoriya into my arms, bracing him from the heartbreaking pain.

"The people you were living with, the League of the Villains" He said clearing his throat, looking down at the ground.

"They were the people who killed your mother"

And that's when I swore I heard Midoriya's heart break, his body went limp, and he became a sobbing mess.

And all I could do, was hold him in my arms, gently brushing his hair with my hands.

Whispering to him;

"It's going to be okay"

But I didn't even know if it was myself.
