The boys met up with each other after school since they had different assemblies to attend. Seokjin forced the younger hoy to go home earlier afraid of what might happen if he didn't. He walked home later than us and walked in on his parents sitting in dining room worried.
"What's going on?" He asks taking a seat at the table.
Mr. Kim sighs and looks over at the boy. "Were you with that boy again?"
"That boy meaning my boyfriend? He has a name you know?" Seokjin retorts.
"Were you with Taehyung?" Mrs. Kim rephrases.
"No, I stayed after school to finish a project and Taehyung had to go straight home after school," He explains, annoyed with the questions they were asking. "Why do you guys suddenly care?"
"Honey, that bo-"
"Taehyung, his name is Taehyung," he says cutting his mother off. "Use his name or don't talk about him at all."
"Where is this attitude coming from?" Mr. Kim questions becoming noticeable concerned about his son's behavior.
"I'm sorry it's just, people talk so badly about him all the time. He's not a bad guy." Seokjin mutters.
"Well can we at least meet him? We don't talk much when he walks you home," Mrs. Kim asks sweetly feeling the tension in the room.
"Of course he would like that. He's talked about meeting you guys he was just scared," Seokjin admits.
"Okay great. How about tomorrow then?" Mr. Kim replies snarkily.
Seokjin scoffs rolling his eyes. "Sure, I'll see if he can come," he mutters.
"Can't wait!" Mrs. Kim says excitedly, really interested in meeting her son's boyfriend. "So go get cleaned up dinner will be ready soon."
Seokjin leaves the table pissed off and wondering how he can get Taehyung to come over. The only times he has been at his house is at night when his parents are sleeping, maybe he could sneak out?
He quickly pulls out his phone waiting this boyfriend will answer, pacing around the room only to get sent to voicemail. He starts to become nervous, his heart races thinking about what might have happened to Taehyung.
Redialing his number, the boy doesn't answer yet again. panic starts to set in and he quickly throws on his shoes. Seokjin runs downstairs and straight out the door, not caring about his parents yelling at him to come back.
Making it to Taehyung's house and feels its too unsafe to walk through the front door, he uses the ladder that by Taehyung's window. He climbs in but ducks once he sees Mr. Kim, he stays down and waits patiently for the man to leave. Once he's gone he climbs through the window seeing his boyfriend laying on the floor with a busted lip and his nose bleeding.
"Taehyung, I'm here," he mutters sliding over to his boyfriend. "I was so wrong, God this is so fucked up."
"I guess," Taehyung chuckles staring up at the ceiling. "Am I imagining all of this?"
Seokjin lays the boys head on his lap gently playing in his hair. "Nope, I'm right here," he chuckles.
"I love you," Taehyung mutters staring up lovingly at his boyfriend.
"I love you too. I would kiss you, but yeah," Seokjin jokes helping the boy off the floor. "Let's go clean up your face."
They tiptoe to the bathroom, hoping Mr. Kim won't here; God knows what that man will do if he saw Seokjin there. Taehyung sits on the toilet, as Seokjin grabs a first aid kit and a rag.
"Wanna know what he did this for?" Taehyung scoffs and the older perks up looking over at the boy. "Cause he has a make-up wearing fag as a son."
Seokjin looks down feeling nothing, but an overwhelming wave of guilt hit him. "Taehyung, I'm so sorry," he chokes out and Taehyung quickly comforts him, pulling the older boy in for a hug.
"It's not your fault, okay?" Taehyung reassures kissing the top of the older head. "He's just a dick."
"He really is," Seokjin giggles making the boy grin,
After fixing Taehyung up he stayed with the boy a little longer, bringing him food knowing he wasn't going to be fed. It hit 10 pm and he realized he had to go despite not wanting to; being with Taehyung made him happy. He said goodbye kissing the boy before exiting from the ladder, still looking back at Taehyung's window as he walked home.
Seokjin came home to see a familiar scene from earlier; both of his parents sitting at the in the dining room worried, but this time with a plate left out of Seokjin. He walked up to the two smiling trying to keep up a brave face, before leaning onto his father letting out all the tears he had been holding in. " Taehyung got hurt and I had to go help him," he croaks out.
"It's okay. You did good Seokjin," Mr. Kim reassures rubbing the boy's back.
"Are you hungry?" Mrs. Kim asks and Seokjin shakes his head no. "Okay, go to bed."
Seokjin leaves but stops at the first step turning around to whisper a small "I love you" to his parents, before walking back upstairs. He makes it to his room and he lays down on the bed, staring up at the ceiling. His phone rings, he starts to become worried when he sees Taehyung is the one calling.
"Hey, baby," Taehyung huskily greets making a smile unconsciously appear on the older's face.
"Do you want me to sing you to sleep?" He asks sweetly.
"No, let me sing you to sleep this time," Taehyung replies beginning to sing the song Seokjin sings to him every night, his deep soulful quickly makes the older relax and fall right to sleep. Taehyung hears the soft snores from his boyfriend making his chuckle and wonder how he fell asleep so quickly. "Goodnight baby," Taehyung whispers into the phone before hanging up.
