Chapter 6: He's Back

No matter how much I thought, tried, elaborated, nothing helpful came to my mind. It's not like a lot was ever on my mind anyways, it was all mostly air. But still, trying to think or at least make a simple becoming of my situation seemed impossible. After about 30 minutes of me standing, pacing, and sitting around trying to explain what has happened to me, the door quietly opened and Ryan popped his head in.

"Rosie?" He scanned the room, taking in the monstrous mess, his dark hair slightly swishing. Then his eyes landed on me standing to the side of the doorway about four feet from him. I don't know how he didn't see me as soon as he opened the door.

He closed the door and came over to me. Ermagawsh, his smell. "Oh, Rose. I didn't know where you went. You were gone for about a half hour, I started to think you ditched me here."

Oh, Ryan, I could never ditch you.

"Really?" His eyes got bigger in shock as he looked at me. Ugh! I was doing good with not saying my thoughts out loud too!

"I-d-uh, hmm?" I was blinking and stammering. This is so making me look like a loser.

His smirk started to come back. "It's okay, Rosie. I know you like me." He emphasized the word 'like', as if he was teasing me as he took some steps closer, if that's even possible.

He took his hands, slid them over my arms and pulled them around his back as a signal to keep mine wrapped around him. He placed his hands on my waist, looking down on me.

I can feel my face heat up immensely, knowing it's beet red and that I'm shaking partially because I'm still kinda soaked and because Ryan is touching me. I try not to grin and act cool but end up looking like my face is having a seizure because I'm trying not to smile.

"You know Rosie, since that phone call, I think we both know about our feelings for each other." He started to lean into my ear and speaking in a low, raspy, tone, "So I think we could become more than just fri--"

Before he finished the door busted open. Great. Someone else to ruin the possible highlights of my life since nothing ever happens to me but falling off of things.

Misty.

She takes one look at Ryan and I and her face turns to complete rage but snaps back so fast I barely saw it.

She starts her phony smile, "Ryan, I think Tim wants you. He's across the hall."

Her reptile smile. Ew. She can afford teeth cleaning but doesn't get it? It's probably because she always is doing drugs. I think I have a fetish with people's mouth hygiene.

Ryan looks at me, his blue eyes looking regretful. Then he winks at me, "We'll continue this later, Rosie." He backs away lingering his hands down my arms leaving us reaching for each other.

When he steps out into the hall, Misty immediately turns to me, her chinchilla eyes popping out at my face.

"Stay. Away. From. Him." She glares at me clenching her wild teeth together.

Who does this Do-Do bird think she's talking to? I know it isn't me because if it was she would be on the floor by now. I look around me as if there may be someone else in the room, then look at her.

"Who do you think you're freakin' talking to, Lice-Headed, Hoarding-Junkie?! Do you have a death wish? Cuz right now you're asking for one." I started taking steps closer to her. I could see the fear in her eyes but she tried to remain her confident composure. I'm about to beat up two people in one day and attending a funeral next week.
