It has nothing to do with the chapter I just thought I would share.
Inspired by this post on Tumblr! You can follow me @mrsdracomalfoy9 because I'll also be posting it there among the other amazing Tyrus fanfics that the lovely community provides.
Also, quick note, this is the first ever one shot I've written in the third person so be nice.
Enjoy :)
"What are you doing this weekend?"
The question had fallen out of TJ's mouth as they were sat on the swings and Cyrus didn't know how to respond. Should he tell him he was busy to make it look like he was cool enough to have plans with his friends? Then TJ might see through his lie and think he didn't want to spend time with him, which was possibly the farthest from the truth one could have gone. The truth is that all Cyrus was planning to do this weekend was continue to rewatch Sherlock on Netflix while cuddled in his bed with a tub of ice cream and a spoon (also tissues because the BBC hates us for some reason, but that isn't the point) to avoid thinking about his ever-growing crush on the not-so-scary basketball guy. Cyrus didn't know exactly when it happened, but somewhere between muffins and swing sets he realized how safe and sound TJ made him feel even when he was at his lowest. Taking all this into account, Cyrus decided that there was only one right answer to TJ's question.
Absolutely nothing.
So here he was, going through his whole closet trying to find an acceptable outfit for his time at the moves with TJ. He knew this wasn't a date because TJ was straight as could be, but that didn't mean he couldn't look nice.
He was on his seventh outfit when the doorbell rang. A pair of blue skinny jeans and red tee with a simple black hoodless jacket. It would just have to do. He ran down the stairs, his hair brushing his forehead and reminding him to grab his beanie to avoid his hair being seen unfixed. He fixed his hair under his beanie and opened the door, a grin finding its way onto his face as he saw TJ leaning against the post on his porch.
"Hey, underdog!" TJ greeted him and his signature smirk made his way onto his face as he pushed off of the post and walked towards Cyrus. The smaller boy mumbled a quick hi as a blush spread across his cheeks. TJ saw it and immediately thought of how adorable the boy who had stolen his heart was.
After collecting himself, Cyrus yelled out a bye to his mom and stepdad before closing the door and walking out into the night with TJ.
Silence dominated their walk for a while, their hands occasionally brushing which led to Cyrus's face growing red. They made it to the theater and TJ was already paying for everything before Cyrus could even get his wallet out of his pocket.
"You didn't have to do that." Cyrus felt bad that TJ had paid for everything but TJ just handed him a bucket of popcorn and smiled down at the shy boy.
"I couldn't let a cute boy pay for himself. That's just not gentlemanly." Cyrus stuttered while TJ simply smirked and threw his arm around him, leading the blushing boy into the dark movie theater.
They watched the movie for about thirty minutes (that time being filled with awkward hand brushing in the popcorn bucket and cute giggles from Cyrus at the movie) before TJ decided to make his move. TJ had planned this date in order to get closer to Cyrus and that's exactly what he planned on doing. Cyrus was leaning away from him to dig in his jacket which sat on the seat beside him so TJ grabbed the armrest and moved it up and out of the way. Cyrus sat back up, not noticing the armrest had been moved, and TJ put the last part of his plan in action. He yawned-a very fake yawn- and slowly moved his arm around Cyrus' shoulders. TJ braced himself, preparing for Cyrus to flinch and move from under his arm. What he did instead was something TJ had never expected: he snuggled closer.
TJ got over his shock he smiled. This was actually happening. He pulled Cyrus closer and they stayed like that for the rest of the movie, Cyrus's head on his chest and TJ's arm around his lower back.
The movie ended a little over an hour later, both of them clapping like dorks and getting ready to leave the theater. Cyrus put his jacket on while TJ gathered their trash, which he disposed of once they walked out into the starry night. The silence from before came back, along with the brushing hands, but there was something else now. A smile rested upon TJ's face and both a smile and a heavy blush rested on Cyrus's.
They got to Cyrus's front door before either of them spoke, and like the awkward children they are, they both spoke at the same time, using the other's name as a start to their sentence.
"You can go first." Cyrus's shy voice spoke to the taller.
"I had an amazing time tonight, and I hope you did too."
"I did." As Cyrus spoke, a blush spread across his already pink cheeks.
"Good..." TJ trailed off as his cheeks lit up with a blush of his own.
"Can...Can I do something?" Cyrus's voice was shaking with nerves as he thought about what he was about to do.
"Sure." As soon as TJ gave conformation Cyrus grabbed his neck and pulled him down to meet his lips. TJ let out a surprised noise before melting into the kiss. His hands went to Cyrus's hips and held him close, their kiss closed-mouthed and full of love and innocence.
"Sorry," Cyrus's voice rang out as they broke away but TJ only pulled him closer.
"You have no idea how long I've wanted to do that. There's no need to be sorry. Cyrus will you be my boyfriend?" TJ spoke in a single breath. Cyrus was silent for a few seconds, trying to comprehend what just happened and trying to find his voice. after those tantalizingly long seconds, Cyrus only spoke one word.
"Yes."
I hope you enjoyed!! I saw this post on Tumblr and I really couldn't resist.
