After a few hours, Vylad would step into my room, his face was easy to read, and I could immediately tell he was worried sick about me. Vesryn had already left my room so it was just me and him in the room.
"Thank goodness you are ok Luke, I thought you were dead after I heard what had happened," Vylad said to me with some sort of relief in his voice, his face still had a worried expression, however.
"Thank you for your concern Vylad, I feel happy to know that there are people like you who care about me" I would give him a calm smile, I hoped this would make him ease up.
My attempt to make him happy however would be all for naught as he still bared the same worried expression, "What happened out there, apparently you turned into a demon and you happened to of killed off all of the opposition, what was that all about?", Vylad would ask me, his voice and tone still representing fear and worry.
"To be honest Vylad, I don't really know......last thing I remember was fending off a mech that was going to kill Ice......is he alright?" I would explain and ask Vylad, trying to keep myself calm, I was worried sick now that I had thought about Ice.
"Ice is fine Luke, he has a few cuts and bruises but that is about it," Vylad said, trying to reassure me and make me feel comfortable, even if he would be worried.
I would sigh in relief and sit up straight, I felt stiff and a tad sore, Vylad would still look at me with a worried expression, "Don't overdo yourself, don't want you collapsing again, I will leave you to think, make sure you get better". Vylad stepped out of my room, giving me a nod before he left.
I got up and off the bed, managing to make my way towards the shower within my room, I turned the water on and took a long hot shower to ease up my nerves, something that hadn't been there caught my eye, making me look at it. A symbol of some kind implanted into my fur and skin, it was in the shape of a wolf with some kind of star-like particles around it. I would tense every time I touched the scar, and I would feel myself feel more aggravated on the inside the more I prodded it. I shrugged it off and left it alone, I stood in the shower for quite a while, maybe for around twenty minutes, I then stepped out and shook myself off, letting the water drip off me before I grabbed a towel to dry myself off.
I stepped over to my bed and fixed up the sheets before hobbling over to the door of my room, slowly opening it and poking my head out to peek down the hallways. The hallways remained quiet, the only noise that could be heard would be the crackling of fire from the torches hung up on the walls. I slowly shut my door behind me as I stumbled out into the quiet and warm stone hallways. I quietly walked down the halls until I would reach the front entrance of the cave system our pack was holed up in. I stared out of the entrance, not leaving the cave or entrance, simply just sitting there in the entrance and staring out at the night sky and glimmering stars.
Although I thought being so high up into the mountains would make me feel safe and comfortable, something would grab my attention that you would think shouldn't be seen, glowing eyes, staring at me from the shrubbery. I slowly rose to my feet which then changed to standing on four paws, my pure wolven form releasing from my body, I lunged forward and darted at the eyes. The eyes would disappear and I would hear the pounding of paws darting away from me, the sound of someone wanting to escape, I gave out a low snarl and dug my paws into the dirt, giving myself more push in my strides as I bolted after the creature. I ran for what felt like hours and kilometers until I slowed as I arrived at a small lake, a broken tree in the middle raised out of it.
I approached the lake and dipped my head down into the water, drinking to catch my breath, I had given up my chase, there was no point in trying to continue running, I was out of breath and could feel my lungs gasping for air. The water felt cold and relaxing to drink, it soothed my muscles and allowed me to relax in such a way that cleared my mind. The calmness is my mind would fade within seconds however as the crunching of the brush around me could be heard once more, I lifted my head, scared yet confident. I was scared of what was around me, but confident I would be able to fight or flight if need be.
I expected a large creature or monster to approach out of the brushes and lash out at me with some sort of unnatural power, but what really came out caught me off guard more than just a monster. A white wolf-like creature slowly approached out of the brush, her eyes glowing in the darkness of the night, the one thing that truly caught me off guard was the number of tails that swayed behind her body, I counted up nine tails, all had a slight glow to them, the same glow that her eyes had. I stared at her in wonder and amazement, staring into her eyes as she stared back into mine, a slight gentle smile on her face.
"W-Who are y-" I never even got to finish my sentence, as she would stop looking at me and simply prod over to the lake, lowering her head to drink from the lake. I hesitated and attempted to step towards her, only to be met with a force that made me tense, a force that wouldn't allow me to move at all, two of her tails pointed directly at me. She lifted her head and looked at me, a calm yet sly smile on her face, "Luna", her only response before she darted back off into the woods and shrubbery. I stood there, awestruck and amazed, my brain couldn't communicate what I had just seen and witnessed, I slowly pulled myself together and thought to myself, "This girl...I must find out more". I slowly turned around and walked back to the cave system that my friends resided within.
