Weaver's POV
Blaine pulled up outside my house and there was multiple police cruisers, detectives and unmarked vehicles.

Shit.

The officers were looking at maps, pointing and talking urgently and seriously. My father was shouting orders at the sheriff.

"I wonder what has happened?"

"Yeah me too..." although I am already sure what is happening. My mum will have entered my room and seen it completely untouched, panicked and ran to dad. Plus, I never told them that I was leaving let alone staying out the night.

To say I was in the shit was an understatement. And it was only 6:30 am.

"Here goes nothing..." I say and grab the door handle ready to get out.

"Wait!" Blaine grabs my arm. "Wait there" he says before climbing out and walking round to my side of the car to help me out. Awww what a gentleman!

We walk up the driveway, the hustle and bustle of officers all over the lawn surprise me because if they were looking for me then surely they'd have noticed me.

"Hey dad, what's going on?" I say from behind dad. He stops his shouting at the officer and turns around to look at me before pulling me into a tight hug.

"Where were you Weaver? Are you ok?"

"Yeah dad, I'm fine. Last night after you guys went out I finished my homework and I was bored so I decided to call Blaine to see if he was free. We went to the arcades and the beach. We stayed out all night talking about Harvard and Med School. Time flew and before we knew it the sun was rising so we went and got breakfast before Blaine dropped me home. I'm sorry if I worried you. My phone died."

Dad let out an audible sigh of relief, then hugged me tightly... again. Then his attention turned to Blaine.

"Blaine, son, next time please make sure she has told us where she is going. I know she has almost finished high school but she is still my baby and I worry. When Grace came into my room and said that Weaver wasn't there and her bed hadn't been slept in I panicked. Kids man, you'll put me in an early grave."

"Sorry Matteo. I'll make sure if she doesn't tell you, I will."

"Right now, I'll deal with your punishment later Weaver but I have a police search to call off.... I'll never live this down. The boys will never let this go."

He walks off to the sheriff who has already started packing up. Dad will probably apologise then make a generous donation for the unnecessary use of valuable police time.

"Weaver?...." I turn to see my mother. Her hair is a mess, almost like she was pulling it out, her cheeks are stained by tears and her eyes are puffy. Oh man!

"Mom, I'm fine. I promise I was completely ok. I was at the beach talking to Blaine about Harvard and Med school. Nothing much, we just talked all night until we realised the time just as sun was rising. It was really nice to talk to someone on the same course as me mama!" I say.

"Thank the Lord. You had me and your father worried sick. Now, go see Arloe. He is distraught. Then go find the twins they are in the games room. I'll make pancakes." I didn't have the heart to tell mom if already ate so I just ate the pancakes she made. Yes, I'm greedy I know!

Later following a earful from Arloe and finishing the pancakes and helping to clear up Blaine announced he was leaving for a work. He went round saying bye to mom and dad, then Arloe and Rae and Jasper. Then, me.

"Bye Weaver..." he pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear, "text me...".

As soon as he left I heard dad in the living room.

"WEAVER!"

Shit.
