Invading Radiance

Chapter 5

The two bands stayed on the roof until the cold started to seep through their clothing. The first one to start shivering, however, was Elle. Daniel noticed this and stood up.

Hey guys, its getting kind of cold, he said while stretching. Why dont we head inside.

Elle immediately agreed with him and jumped up from her seated position. She then ran up to the next person who stood up, who ended up being Corbyn, and stuffed her arms under his. Corbyn was shocked, but once he felt how much the poor girl was shaking his wrapped his arms around her.

Ya, let's go inside, Corbyn said while trying to walk, but Elle was making it difficult. He was about to ask her to at least move to his side, but Clay interrupted him before he even took a breath.

She wants to be carried, Clay whispered into the faux blonds ear. Corbyn mouthed Thank you and Clay returned a smile.

Corbyn tried to get Elles arms off of him so he could pick her up but she just whined and hugged him tighter. Elle, I cant pick you up if you hold me like this.

The younger girl instantly lets go of Corbyn and jumped onto him. She now had her arms around his neck, her head on his shoulder, and her legs wrapped around his waist. Corbyn quickly grabbed onto her so she wouldnt fall and started to make his way back inside. Once everyone had successfully escaped the cold of the outside world, they all met up in the boys kitchen.

There was a note on the table that was left by the managers. It read:

There is pizza for you in the oven.

Its just in there to keep warm

so dont worry about burning yourselves.

Tucker and I will be back at some

point tonight. We need to

discuss some things about the

up and coming months. Dont burn the

house down.

After Jonah had read the note, he hands it off to Moo and goes to the oven. He opens the oven and is greeted with four Little Caesars hot and ready pizzas. Jonah pulled them all out of the oven and placed them on the kitchen island. Jack helps him lay them out in a row and open all the boxes.

So, Jack started as he opened the last box. Weve got one cheese, one pepperoni, one combo, and one hawaiian pizza.

A few of them made disgusted faces at the mention of pineapple on pizza, but their expressions quickly changed. It turned to ones of surprise when Moo walked up to the controversial pizza and took a slice. As she was taking a bite, she looked up and only gave everyone a shrug in response to their looks.

Everyone then took some slices and headed to the family room. Everyone was now in the room except for Zach and Elle.

Um guys? eSs asked. Does anyone know where the two youngsters are?

But before anyone could answer; the youngest of each band walk into the room. Zach and Elle both had two pizza boxes each in their hands, but Elle also had a slice of cheese hanging from her mouth. They give the group a sheepish smile and go to set the pizzas on the table. Everyone let out little laughs and then settle down to start eating. They had sat in silence for about a minute when Daniel suggested they play a game.

Hey guys, how about we do an icebreaker like Never Have I Ever or Truth-or-Dare? That way we can get to know each other better?

Oo, I like that idea, little Elle said while jumping in her seat, making her wavy dark blonde hair bounce about two inches above her waist. Lets play Truth-or-Dare. I love that game.
