chapter 3

The Masquerade ball was supposed to be a new start, but when we woke up in the morning Riverdale was still at heart a haunted town. Meanwhile, at the most beloved place at Riverdale, Pop's Chock'lit Shoppe, a raven haired girl and a redheaded girl sat together in a booth, two girls who nobody would've ever seen together if a series of unfortunate events hadn't taken place this past month.

Violet had agreed to meet Lexi at the place everyone loved, Pop's before school. Violet was gaping out the window watching the rain hit the ground as the waiter came around. "Hi ladies what would you like today?" He asked. "My usual. " Lexi replied as the waiter wrote "strawberry milkshake" onto a white pad of paper. "And you Violet? The usual?" the waiter asked while turning his head towards Violet. Violet didn't answer at first. Her usual was a vanilla milkshake, but the last time she got that she was here, with Sidney. "A chocolate shake please." Violet finally responded. "Is that it for today?" "Yes." Lexi replied while glancing at the waiters name tag. Jeff. Jeff Atkins.

Violet decided to not go to school that day. Instead of sitting through 7 long classes she sat on her couch and thought. Thought of everything she could have possibly done to stop Sidney from being murdered.

Meanwhile at school, Lexi was struggling with a biology test that she did not study for. But then had the urge to pee. She excused herself and got up and walked into the hallway. As she walked into the girls bathroom she saw a couple making out. She was a tad irratated until she noticed something. "WHAT THE FUCK?!?!" She screamed as the couple jumped and jerked their heads around. Reggie. And some girl in a ponytail. "L-lexi, its not what it looks like." "Oh my boyfriend isn't making out with some random girl in the bathroom?" lexi asked with tears of rage in her eyes, straining to keep them from coming out. "Um well excuse you my name is Chloe Rice and I am not just some rando girl for your information." The girl said from behind Reggie. "You know what, fuck you, whatever." Lexi said as storming out of the bathroom, salty tears running down her face. She didn't even get to pee.

After school Lexi had decided to end this horrendous day with another strawberry milkshake and some fries. She had been sitting in a booth for about 5 minutes when the same waiter from this morning asked her what she wanted. "A large fries and a strawberry milkshake please." Lexi answered, her voice rising at the end so it was obvious that she was about to sob. "Hey, whats wrong?" he replied, concerned. "Oh its nothing. Just my fucking son of a bitch boyfriend decided it would be a GREAT fucking idea to FUCKING MAKE OUT WITH SO-" "Woah woah woah slow down can i sit?" the handsome waiter responded sitting down across from the teary eyed red head. "Your names Jeff right?" Lexi asked, wiping the tears off of her face. "Yep." he replied with a sweet smile.
