Seeing the other male from across the room, who couldn't be much more then a year or two older then Michael, seeing him blush because he had smiled at him, made his heart skip inside his chest. He had never really gotten any male attention before, or at least, not the kind that he wanted. He had guys like Rich Goranski and Jake Dillinger being jerks towards him for most of his life, ever since he was a sophomore, although all that had definitely died down a lot after the SQUIP incident. Rich had come out as bisexual, so it wasn't like he had any reason to pick on anyone that was gay or who he presumed was gay, and since Jakey D's legs were both broken, he was struggling enough to get through the school without finding Michael along the crowd, just so he could yell at him, and by the time that they were seniors, everyone seemed to mature alot more, since it was the last year they were going to be stuck together.

"Okay, okay, okay, so!" A raven haired girl speaking in a forced French accent was standing in the middle of the teens, the drunk and high students giggling and laughing far louder then the rest of them, and it was clear that Madeline, the girl that pretended she was French and slept with Jake after she lost at pool deliberately, had been dared to take three shots of vodka, straight from the bottle, which clearly wasn't working out for her. It was her turn now to choose her victim, and Michael was just begging it wasn't him. He had managed to get through this game completely unnoticed for the time being, and he was just waiting for a chance to slip out and go home while everyone was paying more attention to something else.

"It's uh Jared, yeah? Truth or Dare?" She spun around to the boy that Michael had been smiling at earlier, causing the younger to nervously bite his cheek. He didn't know why he was nervous, he didn't even know his name until Madeline had said it, but it almost felt like there was some sort of connection with the boy from across the room.
Jared kept his eyes on the male across from him in the circle. He felt like they had some sort of connection. He had never really gotten along with guys. Except Evan Hansen, and Connor Murphy. Also he got along with his two brothers, Timothy and Benjamin. But other than that, he was pretty much a dick to everyone else during school. He looked up at a girl who was yelling in the middle of the circle. She had a pretty bad fake accent in Jared's opinion, but the people that were drunk and high would disagree.
She drank pretty much a half a bottle of vodka, and then looked around the circle. "It's uh Jared, yeah? Truth or Dare?" She said, slurring a bit.
Jared froze, feeling a bit nervous. He really didn't want to get called on, or do anything. "Erm... D-dare?" He said, looking up at her.
"Don't be nervous, Jare," the drunken gal giggled at Jared's nervousness, despite the fact that she probably would have been acting the same if it was her being called out in this situation while being sober. Then again, this was the girl that said she'd only sleep with Jake Dillinger if he best her in pool, and then she lost pool deliberately, so maybe she wouldn't be nervous at all. Maybe she'd be more upset if nobody picked her out of the crowd.

"Ooh! Why don't we have a little crossover with this dare, since so many people fucked off for their stupid fucking spin the bottles and shit," Michael was so tempted to roll his eyes as he listened to Madeline ramble on and on, as if she was above all those types of games, even though truth or dare wasn't that different. "Jared! I dare you to, um.. take the best looking boy in the room and you guys can have some seven minutes in Heaven action. See the way I said best looking boy, because if I said person or girl, he'd obviously pick me. And I don't really wanna go near you, Jared. I wouldn't touch you with a ten foot pole."
Jared sat there, a slight blush on his cheeks as he twiddled his thumbs. Waiting for the answer.
Once she told him what his dare was, his entire face went red. "T-the feeling is mutual, Madeline." He said, looking up at the girl. Because of his comment, most  of the sober people snickered and laughed. He then looked around the circle at everyone, his eyes landing on that boy from earlier. He took a deep breath and pointed at the male with the dark brown hair, and he smiled softly.

He slowly stood up, walking around the circle to the boy. There was still a rather bright blush on his cheeks. Jared had a plan. He knew that the male that he chose also looked a bit nervous, and like he didn't want to be there, so he thought this could be their  chance to leave. He stopped walking once he was behind the boy, and then he leaned down and whispered, "This is our chance to get out of here, so I suggest you come with me." He then looked at the boy and smiled softly. "So what's your name?"
A light blush crossed his own cheeks, nervously running his hand through his hair, even though he was obviously trying to hide the fact that he was honestly up for making out with this stranger if he had to. He didn't want everyone knowing he was gay right off the bat so he'd be known as the gay guy for the rest of college. He wanted people to know him as Michael, the boy that liked out of print games, retro skates and had a Pac-Man tattoo. He wanted people to know him as the guy that listened to old music, like Bob Marley and went out of his way to get old school drinks like Crystal Pepsi and Mountain Dew Red, not just as his sexuality. Still though, this was just a dare at a college party where nearly everyone was drunk out of their minds, so it's not like anyone would even remember that he had agreed to go along with this dare that the stranger didn't seem to want to go through anyway. The feeling of his breath on the back of his neck sent chills up his spine, trying not to look that into whatever he was saying. Nobody else knew of their plans to ditch the party. Everybody else thought they were going to go along with the dare. He stood up, turning his attention to the other, opening his mouth to speak, before being rudely interrupted by Madeline.

"Michael~ You gotta go along with it. That's the rules!" She somehow managed to shove the two past the growing crowd and out through the crowded living room into the hall, yelling at how the bedroom was upstairs and how she'd be back for them in seven minutes, before disappearing again, leaving the two alone in the hallway together. Michael's face was burning up at this point, desperately wishing he had brought his headphones so he'd have an excuse not to engage in a conversation with him, but since he didn't have them, the last thing he could do was pretend to not hear him when he was being nice even to ditch this party with him.

"Uh, Michael Mell. I'm guessing we're not going along with the dare then, huh?" He joked
Jared's face was a bright pink as they were pushed through the crowds, and towards the bedroom. He didn't  want to be known as the gay kid, but then again, that's who he was. He didn't plan on going through with the dare, unless Michael wanted too, because to be honest. He was rather cute.

Once Madeline left, jared looked at Michael and gave a slight smile. "J-Jared Kleinman," he replied, his face still a bright shade of pink, "I don't plan on going through with this, but if you want to..  We can.." He said, looking down towards the ground. It was obvious his cheeks were even more red. He then looked up at Michael and tried to give his best smile through the amount of awkwardness in the air.

His mind was racing from idea to idea, going over what might happen. Most likely, after this, Michael wouldn't want to speak to him.
He couldn't help but snort, giving him a playful shove, assuming that he was joking before catching sight of his blushing cheeks, which just caused Michael's face to heat up in return, casually looking up and down at him. He was definitely cute, or at least, he was in Michael's eyes, debating on whether or not the male was actually his type or not. Then again, he guessed he didn't exactly have a type, he just knew he liked guys, but since it was painfully obvious that none of the guys at Middlebourgh were gay or even bi, Michael hadn't even bothered looking, but now he had an adorable, kind of dorky looking male who was willing to do those things that people did when they were forced into a room together for seven minutes. He glanced at the door of the bedroom, rocking back and forth on the ball of his foot, running through it all in his head, even though thinking things through again and again was more Jeremy's thing then his own, before deciding maybe he should just quiz Jared again, just to make sure he was being serious and not just messing around with him. He wasn't going to come out to some guy when he could easily just be joking about actually going through with this stupid idea.

He shrugged his shoulders lightly, resting against the wall, crossing his arms as he looked at the shorter male, a crooked grin playing on his lips, before asking, "I mean, what do you want to do?" Things were already awkward already, so he guessed it didn't really matter what happened, huh?
