Chapter 14: The past

The first memorie i have, was a scary and lonely memorie, i can remember every singel detail. From the brown oak bookshelf on my right, and a black leather chair with two pieces of ducttap on the back. the carpet was white, with red stains on it. i had just got home from school, so i had no idea that what i'm about to face may ruin my life, which....it did. The red stains were thick and a dark red, my body shivered, hoping this wasn't what i thought it was. i look over the old leather chair to see my mothers dead body,well she wasn't dead yet, i could see her chest rising, but very shallow. i creap over to her, but my mom looks at me and shakes her head, so i hide behind the chair again. A low husky voice came from the shadows in my moms room, " Just die already, Ever. You dont want your son to watch you die." HE laughs, not knowing i was sitting behind the chair he just sat in, my throat was dry and i swallow trying to get the dryness out. I hear my mother coughing, that cruel bastard is watching her die. I pull my staff from behind and chant my sword name quitly. i walk out and hold Ediery in my hands. "YOU LEAVE MY MOTHER ALONE." All i got was a laugh, i look up at the man, his features were normal, he had a goattee. I Frown " why are you LAUGHING." I run towards him and cut his arm, I grin as he looks at me surprised. " WAit your the......" I froze at the last word." Reapers son?" I stare at the ground, i look back up at him with rage in my eyes, " NO i AM NO DEMONS CHILD." He laughs, " your father would love to see you again." MY rage overwhelmed me, i stabbed him right through the heart, his laugh slowly dieing like my mom is on the ground. " MOM," i ran over to her, her wounds look serious, but i can help her. I grab the first aid kit and get to work, about 30 mins i'm done and her wounds are bandaged. I sigh in relife. " How are you feeling mom?" all she respondes with is a sad nod, her eyes were sad. I frown and look at the sky painted on the ceiling. " Mom, am i really....the reapers son." She finally spoke" Yes, Haru, you are"

I felt a tear run down my face as my memorie of my mother fades. She died 3 days later from blood poisoning. I cried for days.  My head still hurt a little, after my dads meeting i haven't been able to sleep, more and more risen have shown up and Zack is beyond tired. Max left for answers and Monico hasn't been away from Zack for days. I Look at the sky, And Zacks younger brother, takeshi, has angle business. So i'm alone. I take my staff and raise it infront of me. i close my eyes and take every thought out of my head.

"Why hello Haru, or shall i call you by your hiding name?" Ediery looked at me laughing. " you're lucky your a girl or i would of hit you. And call me Haru, its the name my mother gave me." Ediery's expression go's blank, so why'd you call me?" I look at her. " I'm lonely, everyone else is busy and i have no one to talk to." She cocks her head to the side and walks over to me, placing her hand on my shoulder. " Hmmmm, this is serious, you've been thinking of your mom again, haven't you?" I nod sadly. She pulls me in for a hug and i hug her back.  we've been best friends since the firt day i got my staff. she knows me from skin to bone. SHe kisses my cheek, you got to go, someone going to attack you."

I turn my head the instant i wake up, a sword crashed down on my staff. the man infront of me was wearing a hood to hide his eyes, he had a sneering grin on his face. " Awww, you weren't supposed to block that, Haru." I shiver, how does he know my real name. " Who are you?" He smiles" I"M your brother,Sota." I stare at him. OH god, this isn't good.
