Chapter 4

3rd Person's POV

Few days past, Jennie and Lisa's day went normal. Lisa didn't change even though Jennie is in front of her, can hear what she is saying to her employees. Jennie believed what the other people kept on telling her before she arrived at the Manoban's Corp.

Lisa being the strict boss that she is, she will talk to Jennie when she just need something. She put the barrier between them and chose to be professional when they are together inside of the elevator.

That's what happened to them every single day, Lisa talks to Jennie like a normal boss that she is. She treat Jennie like she treats her employees, shouting is included and getting annoyed.

But she avoid to stare at Jennie longer because she knew that she will fall even harder if she dare to. She misses the warm hugs from Jennie. The skinship that she loves and the way their hands fit so much together. She doesn't want to change that but it's too late now...

Jennie is getting married.

That's the sentence that she keeps on repeating to herself. Even it is breaking her heart, reality hurts. She did not like the thoughts of that and when she think about it, she might tear up.

That's why she chose to distract herself, where she was good at the first place. But when she is trying, Jennie sometimes popping out of nowhere. Sometimes in front of her with that gummy smile. Lisa will just stare at Jennie without her knowing that she is already staring.

Who can't fall in love with her?

"Whoever the person that Jennie is going to marry, that person is lucky because that was my place to be and I didn't fought for her so... you are lucky." She said it to her head.

Lisa can do everything to bring back Jennie. She has the money, the fame, the looks and the personality but she didn't do that because she knows that Jennie is now happy with her love life.

She should be happy that the one she care the most is now happy... but in reality, Lisa is hurting because she is not happy because of you, she is happy because of someone else.

For now, all Lisa had to do is continue with her business and Jennie, continue being the assistant.

Currently, Lisa is sitting in her office chair while looking at the ceiling. She is waiting for the papers that she send to Jennie. That's the last paper that she needs to check and when Jennie finish those, she can go home.

Lisa is staring at the papers that she needs to sign but her thoughts about Jennie keeps on running to her head. She didn't notice that someone knock on her door three times and come in to her office.

"Ms. Manoban?" Jennie called for her attention. Lisa quickly look at Jennie who is standing at the closed door.

"Are you finish? Did you finish the work that I assigned to you?" Lisa asked. Jennie come close to Lisa's desk so she can place it there.

"Yes, Ma'am. The documents that you want me to put in one folder is inside of it." Jennie said while smiling. Lisa look at the folder and nod without looking at Jennie.

"You can go home now." Lisa said. She waved her hand. Jennie felt that Lisa doesn't want some company right now because it really looks like that Lisa is so busy and she is so workaholic.

"Ahm... Take care. Have a nice night, ma'am." Jennie bowed and left Lisa alone in her office.

Lisa sigh and put nape on the top of the chair that she is sitting on. "It's so hard and I didn't even imagine that this can bother me so much." She said and look at the folder that Jennie gave her.
