I woke up the next day to the sound of my mum yelling at my sister, who came home to see my mum for her birthday. I did my usual morning stretch and tried to find the energy to get out of bed. I looked at the clock next to my bed. 9:30am. Why couldn't it have been midday so I wouldn't have to put up with everyone for the whole day, I thought to myself. Unwillingly, I dragged myself out of my comfy bed and went to find my fluffy dressing gown.
Once I was decent, I jogged downstairs to see my blue haired sister rolling her eyes at some stupid comment that my mum made. "Hey sis!" I shouted in joy. She'd been travelling the world for about 18 months, but coming back only for birthdays and Christmas. She pulled me into a hug and we danced around a bit, happy to see each other.
"I've missed you!" She almost sang to me. I just kept hugging her as much as I could. I could see my mum making us all breakfast and whatever else she was doing.
"Coffee babes?" My sister asked me, her blue eyes staring at me with wonder. I nod my head yes as she pours the coffee into my cup. As she handed it to me, my mum put three plates on the breakfast bar.
"How many pancakes you wanting G? Two or three?" My mum smiled, her smile was a comforting one but also quite scary because she didn't do it often.
"Three, is that even a question?" My sister smirked. My mum plated up our pancakes, three on my sister Katie's and three on mine. "How's college going?" She asked smiling at me, then taking a bite out of her pancakes.
"It's good yeah, struggling with my maths though. I hate doing retakes!" I moaned. Katie just laughed and nodded in agreement. I headed upstairs once I finished to take a shower. I planned on staying at home all day to finish off my work until I my phone buzzed uncontrollably.

I locked my phone whilst giggling at how weird and erratic they both are. I decided to get changed into my MOM jeans with a white crop top and grey hoodie. Once I untied my plaits I watched as they flowed down into a beach way style. I headed back downstairs to leave the house without being asked a million questions.
