Kai had genuinely felt bad about telling his soft friend to stay away from Killian, whom he knew he liked more than he had realized. Though he did feel bad he couldn't help but continuously flash back to what he saw in that house whilst he was roaming about and, admittedly, snooping. He knew he was sticking his nose into their business but he couldn't help the curiosity that engulfed him as he walked through their halls.

As Kai aggressively smashed the buttons on his controller, his minded drifted to his encounters with both Killian and Declan for these past few days. Kai scowled feeling abandoned by Finnick as the socially anxious boy withdrew himself from being at school in order to properly avoid the two boys and though he understood the reason as to his disappearance he was left to fend for himself. Killian was persistent and it was obvious to Kai that the usually stone cold guy cared about his friend by the way he endlessly pestered him. It was unnerving having the two on his tail, especially Declan.

Both boys were far too aggressive for normal and stronger than a normal person was meant to be. Undoubtedly, Kai knew there was something up with the two and it was related to something dangerous but it just couldn't leave Kai's mind the possibility that maybe just maybe they didn't mean to cause harm but they were involved in something harmful. There was no way Killian could've just lifted that steel door with his bare hands without some type of drugs being involved, it was just inhumane.

Kai was getting tired of thinking of the previous events as-well as Killian and Declan as a whole, he felt like most of his thoughts were consumed of the two or Declan. The tips of his ears got red just thinking of Declan. His thoughts roamed to that time in that closet in school and he became warm suddenly.

It got on his nerves endlessly how he had allowed him to just touch him. What freaked him out even further was how he reacted to his touches, how he melted in his hold and just allowed himself to be taken over by the taller and much more muscular guy. Even though Kai wasn't as innocent and naive as Finnick, his knowledge towards that area of life was limited to a girl he had been with just the previous year but they hadn't had sex, just fooled around. It freaked him out at how fast his body reacted to Declan, not to mention that the guy would randomly appear in his thoughts.

Annoyed, Kai tossed his controller away from his sight and stood scratching his curl filled hair. He wasn't gay and whatever this was would end. There wasn't anything wrong with being gay but Kai just would not allow himself to be gay, it just wasn't him.

Kai jolted where he stood as he heard noise come from downstairs. His heart pumped quickly, his mom wasn't home and Lyn was spending the nights at her friends; thank God. That meant, however, that if someone was here they were most likely a stranger and that alerted Kai to grab the bat he ironically always kept in his room in case something like this ever happened to him.

With nerves bubbling through him, he descended downstairs, flinching every time the hard wood flooring would creek and make noise. He got to the bottom and as his eyes scanned the living room he saw that no one was there. Perplexed, the boy walked deeper into his home and jerked and swung the bat backwards when he felt a chilling tap on his shoulder.

The bat flew backwards and without flinching or jerking in the slightest surprise, Declan caught the weapon in his hands. Smirking at the boy who was shocked to see him.

Kai was stumped beyond belief seeing Declan in all his glory inside his home. The first question he had was how the hell he got into his house but not before his eyes shamelessly took in what Declan was wearing. Declan was wearing a white shirt with a leather jacket overtop with simple black jeans and simple shoes to go along with it. The look was simple enough but the way he wore it screamed, 'bad boy.' The look would be enough to get into any girls pants and Kai, despite his strong inkling to dislike the guy, noticed it for himself.
