The song is given with love to her children

Sirius crawled on the floor towards Vega and his henchman - who still held a knife to her throat. "Axel, kill her," Sirius said with an insane look in his eyes.

"No!" Sol said. "What do you want?"

"Wait," Sirius told the henchman. "Leave her and come." Axel shuffled his bulk over to Sirius. "I want to escape." The henchman picked up Sirius.

Five Earth Singers of various ages stepped out of the pods. All the others were still recovering or asleep.

"And you'll leave us alone?" I asked, moving closer to the other Earth Singers. They still appeared bewildered. There was an older man who looked to be in his thirties, a boy a little older than me, two girls around my age, and the boy that looked ten.

"Yes," he said with a hiss.

"Don't trust him, Penny," Sol said. "He's a conniving snake." Sol clenched his fist. "It's best to end it now."

"No, there's been enough violence today."

He glanced at me. "He'll just come after you again."

I mulled it over in my head, but before I could decide Axel turned to run with Sirius in tow.

On instinct, I grabbed two earthen daggers out of my belt and threw them. They changed to rope in mid-air, wrapping around Axel's legs, making him fall forward. He fell on top of Sirius - who cried out in pain.

Sol looked at me with surprise.

"So, you've decided to kill me even after I spared Vega's life?" The knife wedged deep in his back, and he changed his face back to its original form. Lavender eyes stared at me.

"No," I said. "I'll grant you the same fate you granted them." I pointed the other Earth Singers. "You'll go to sleep indefinitely."

His eyes narrowed. "I'd rather die."

Axel groaned. "Get off me you idiot," Sirius said. He rolled off of Sirius and sat up. His legs were still bound. Large eyes were set into a lumpy flat face.

Sirius sprawled on his side.

Benin, Daddy, and Vega lay unconscious on the floor. I checked Benin to make sure he was still breathing. His eyes fluttered open. "Is it over?"

I smiled. "Yes, it's over." I kissed Benin on the head.

"Did we win?"

"Yes, the Earth Singers are free."

A tremor came, at first subtle, and then more violent, reminding me why we came in the first place. I held on to Benin, and one woman screamed. When the earth stopped shaking Sol was holding on to the caramel skinned woman and the little boy.

"What can we do to stop this?" I asked. "Will the seven of us be enough?"

"I don't know," he said. "All of you together should be able to reach the earth, but not from up here." We were still on the highest level of the tower.

"Can you move?" I asked Benin.

He made an attempt and failed. "I think my ribs are broken."

I dug into my half-forgotten sack and pulled out a dirt bar. "Here, eat this." I opened it and stuffed it in his hand.

"Ugh," he said taking the compacted dirt. "There's nothing like eating dirt." He took a bite and chewed with a miserable look on his face.

"As a matter of fact, we should all eat one." I dug the three out of Benin's sac and divided them all between us.
