The morning had started. At 5 A.M we were all awake, lumbering towards the podium. Burrrrrummm!!!!!!!! Burrrrrummmm!!!!The bell would've knocked me off guard, but considering me and my parents were standing in front of the clock tower, I had expected it. Everyone tightly packed themselves close to the podium, including us.

My dad put a huge hand on my shoulder to hold me and held my moms hand. My dad used to be in the army, before the new mayor was elected.

The mayor stepped on the stage, each step firmer than the other. On the podium he wore a cloak, or was he a she?

Truth be spoken nobody knew the mayor, but supposedly he was born here, yet I always questioned that because of his tannish skin. When he reached the edge, he began to speak, first were the times. Our city was run like an army camp.

The mayor stated the times, like at 3 o'clock we had to be at the auditorium, to gather our food. And other times. Then it ended at curfew, 8 o'clock. Later he reported who was reported last night out of home. Those were arrested, and if they even moved a muscle, were shot.

I recognized the name of my best friend, Megan, dad. Last week it was her mom. That meant that we got to take care of her, being her closest 'relatives'. All of Megan's family was now imprisoned. Poor girl. She's probably devastated.

My thoughts of sadness were interrupted by a shot, then another, and another, this usually happened when a guard thought something was wrong, but as I looked forward, I saw four guards on the floor, at the heel of what looked like an eighteen year old. He wore a camo jacket and blue jeans. but he had a sash around his body with two pistols surrounding a slightly bigger one. The kid took out the big one and shouted :

"Do you know what this is", directing his words at the mayor,"it is an ultrasound pistol. It shoots volume waves at frequency's so high, your brain explodes." With the other hand he grabbed his sash, and then I saw what he was doing.

The sash was royal blue, which only meant one thing...Aviators.
