Chapter 18:

 "We better get off to class. I'm really am sorry that I'm the reason why you're late to class." Macy tried to apologize.

"Okay and Macy I choose to skip class, you didn't make me. There is no need to be sorry." Mike tried to make me not sorry, but he failed.

After the last bell rings, I walk up to Mike, "Mike, I need to ralk to you about what we talked about before."

"Okay, sure. Meet me at my car. I'll take you home and we can ralk on the way to your house. Don't worry about your car, I'll drive you tomorrow morning too. Does that sound okay?"

"Ya, that would be great. Thank you." With that I walked to my locker and packed all my homework into my back pack. When I was done with that, I went to meet Mike at his car.

"Macy, what ese happpened that  night that you didn't tell me before?" Mike asked me as I walked up to his car.

"Mike, I didn't leave out anything about that night. That's not exactly what wanted to talk about."

"Then what did you want to talk about?" With that Imotioned to get into to his car. I walked over to the passanger side of his car, ehile he hopped into the drivers seat.

"All throughout school I have been thinking. Maybe I should tell Holbrook. Technically I can't get into trouble for withholdong because I was never asked and I didn't really have access to the Rosewood police department. I was in Michigan until now. If I come clean now, I can't really get into trouble."

"Macy, you shouldn't tell them you knew all of this for so long. If you're going to tell them, then your brst bet is to do it anonymously. I don't wanna see you get into trouble with the cops. The police around here aren't all that friendly." Mike warned me.

"I can't believe Alison told everyone she got kidnapped. I wouldn't have this burden on my shoulder, id would have just told the truth."

"I'm not saying Alison's a saint or that she was right to tell that to everyone, but wouldn't you still have the burden of knowing who it was. You were the only eye whitness that knows what happened that's still alive."

"Ya, I guess I would still have a burden on my shoulders. I just can't believe what a mess I got myself into."

"Macy, you didn;t get yourself into this mess. You just were looking out the window and happened to see something you didn't want to see. None of this is your fault. You didn't get yourself in thos mess. The one person who is mostly resonsible for you being in this mess is Jason and Alison."

"I guess you do have a point. If I didn't go se what Mrs. D. was doing, I would have never seen Grunwald pull Ali out."
