(62)A spicy & sweet lie

Have you ever lied to the person you like just so they would like you back and talk to you? well this is a short story about a guy who pretends to like spicy food and sweet drinks like a particular guy who happens to be his crush , even though spicy food leaves a taste in his mouth he hates  and can also cause him to have diarrhoea he'll hold it in until he gets home and also he himself isn't much of a sweet tooth.

Kongpob is the opposite of his crush and he knows that , he likes bitter ice coffee and bland food which might seem boring to others but he enjoys it not afraid of telling people his tastes expect one person and this has been going on for a year 

even though he has lied and has become friends with his crush because he thinks Kongpob has the same tastes as him no progress has happened , they've stayed regular friends for a year.

"Oi Kongpob have you tasted the most spiciest food here , it's amazing you'll enjoy it and it's what i'm getting do you also want it?" Kongpob not having a choice he forcefully nodded "ok you wait i'll go order"

Kongpob's POV

what have i got myself in to it? for the past year i've been eating spicy food and sweet drinks , i can handle sweet things better than that spicy taste , it always burns my tongue and mouth and always have to go into diarrhoea , i can't take anymore of this ...

Kongpob drops his head on the table at the moment Arthit comes back with the food "you okay Kongpob" hearing his voice he looked up "huh oh yea i'm fine" Arthit raised his eyebrows "you sure?"

"totally" i tried looking and sounding like i meant it not wanting for him to find out my secret , in a way i've been doing good on hiding it he's never once noticed

him thinking i actually have the same tastes as him has made me be his partner on when we go out to eat , the only reason he might call me about is to eat with me.

i take a spoon of whatever this is , don't really care on what it is because no matter what it's just going to burn my mouth tasting like fire , i put it in my mouth quickly trying to chew and and swallow , every time i finish my food fast it just makes it more believable to P'Arthit that i like spicy food 

when try to get rid of the taste with my drink i always forget it's sweet so it doesn't do much to help and sometimes makes it worse 

"Kongpob , i want to talk to you about something when were done" 

eh? what does that mean? did he find out my secret? is this why he's making me eat the spiciest thing he could find , is this my punishment i can't think of anything else this could be about , i'm totally find out and now he doesn't want to be just my  friend anymore , it's over it's all over 

i just said okay and then i'll apologise when we are out.

When they finished they started walking with Kongpob behind Arthit , noticing this Arthit turned around "why are you walking behind-"

"P'Arthit i'm sorry" confused , he wanted to say something but got cut off by Kongpob again "i'm sorry i lied but i did it just because i liked you and wanted to get close to you and somehow that was the only way i came up with , please don't be angry at me even though it's expected-" Kongpob kept rambling on and on while in between Arthit tried to talk and and calm Kongpob down 

getting frustrated Arthit yelled "KONGPOB"

Arthit: "breathe"

Kong exhaled and inhaled "okay now tell me what the hell you were talking about?"

Kongpob: "didn't you want to talk to me because you found out i lied about liking spicy food and sweet things"

Arthit: "what?"

Kongpob: 'so it wasn't?"

Arthit: "no"

Kongpob: "well this is awkward"

Arthit rubbed his temples "so you lied to me? why?"

Kongpob: "because i like you and i just approached you in a lie , i'm sorry i lied"

the sound of laughter was being heard from the other "omg , i'm sorry i don't mean to laugh but it's just so damn funny" causing Kongpob to sulk "are my feelings that funny to you?"

Arthit was holding on to his stomach from laughing too much "n-no i'm sorry...o-ok i'll stop" he stopped laughing but was panting from loss of breath "ok what i wanted to talk to you about was my feelings for you"

Kongpob: "what?"

Arthit: "i was so nervous you might reject me , but i think i got my answer"

Kongpob: "wait you like me?"

Arthit: "yeah"

Kongpob: "what about my lie?"

Arthit: "well i just of think of a punishment for that don't i?"

"fine" they were staring at each other for a while leaning in for a kiss when Kongpob stopped in the middle "what's wrong?" he was scrunching his face and looked constipated "i'm sorry P'Arthit i need to go toilet"

Kongpob ran away and went to the nearest public toilets leaving Arthit behind "what just happened"

When Kongpob came out he looked embarrassed to look at Arthit "i don't think i need to think of a punishment for you anymore" receiving an awkward smile from Kong "you want to come to my dorm?" Arthit suggested "i can come?"

"of course my boyfriend can come" Kongpob was so happy he forgot about what happened "and by the way if you don't like sweet things or spice , then tell me what you really like because now i feel like i don't know you at all"

Kongpob told him and got a odd look from Arthit "how the hell did you manage a full year eating what i ate"

"i didn't mind when i thought of you and the thought that you might like me back one day" Arthit smiled and unexpectedly took Kong's hand in to his "well , on our first date we should eat and drink what you like , because now i feel bad"

"our first date? i like it" 

Kongpob: "you're not allowed to eat with someone else other than me just because they might have the same taste as you , because i'm your boyfriend now and we'll have bunch of dates"

Arthit: "wouldn't want anyone else if i have you and anyway how can i trust them they might lie to lie like you did"

Kongpob: "yeah don't trust them , me was fine but anyone else no"

Arthit kissed him on the cheek and they both smiled as they both walked to Arthit's dorm holding hands.

if you guys don't know the prologue for I Fell For A Man? is out and i hope you guys bear with me because i'll probably be writing short one shots for a while , i wanted to post a long one but i'm having trouble with the story...so yeah ..hope you enjoyed this one 😊
