Nichole's POV

I rolled over as my alarm clock went off. 10:00 already? I groaned as I got out of bed.

I made it a point, being today was my first day in the new town, to go out for a bit.

I walked over to my closet and examined my clothes, half which are thrown in and half that are still in my bags. I grab a pair of light blue skinny jeans and a neon green shirt that says 'KISS ME IM IRISH' on the front. I quickly get dressed and walk downstairs.

I grab an apple from the fridge and my jacket from the living room and head out the door.

The cool New York breeze hits my face. I take a deep breath and smile. Maybe coming to America wasn't a bad idea after all. I skip down the stairs and onto the sidewalk. Looking around, I see a small bakery across the street and a market down the road.

"Well at least everything's close," I mumble to myself.

I make my way down the sidewalk, smiling at a few people and enjoying the walk. I stop in a nearby Starbucks for a coffee.

While I'm waiting, I notice a couple boys sitting in the back. They look like the kind of guys you don't really want to mess with. One was tall with light brown hair. He had a bandana around his head and was wearing a leather jacket. The kid on his left, a tad but shorter but had piercing blue eyes and to his right, a kid with dirty blonde hair and bright brown eyes.

He sees me staring and winks. I roll my eyes. The guy comes out with my coffee, perfect timing. I quickly pay and thank the man.

I walk out the store, silently humming to myself. I hear some ruckus behind me so I take a peek over my shoulder. It's those boys. They hop on their motorcycles and speed down the road only to stop at the red light at the next corner.

I continue on my way back to my flat.

As I walk past the boys stopped at the red light, I catch one of their eyes. It's the kid with the bandana. He smirks and makes a kissing face. I roll my eyes in disgust. As soon as I have the right away to walk, I do. I cross the street but I can't help but to look over my shoulder. The boy catches my eye once more before I turn back around.

I get back to my flat rather quickly. I hear a noise come from the inside. I quietly unlock the door and peek in, only to see a girl, maybe a bit taller than me, sitting on the couch.

"Can I help you?"

She immediately jumps.

"Goodness! You scared me!" She says laughing.

"Kinda the way I felt when I saw you sitting on my couch."

"I'm guessing Jacobs didn't tell you?"

"You know Jacobs?"

Jacobs is my singing manager. After I made my record deal, he agreed to help me out.

"Of course I do! First let me introduce myself. I'm Lindsay."

"I'm Nikki."

"Of course I know who you are! I used to watch you on YouTube all the time!"

I laugh a bit.

"Well thank you. But um.. Can you still tell my why you're in my flat?"

"I'm you're roommate! Jacobs said it would be good exposure if I stayed with someone like you while I was here in The Big Apple. I hope you don't mind."

"I don't mind at all. But I'm gonna have to get on Jacobs about this keeping me up-to-date business," I say while laughing.

Lindsay laughs too.
