Nichole's POV

"Hey get up lazy bones!"

I groan and roll over.

"I don't think so! We have things to do today!"

I grab a pillow and smack whoever it is in the head.

"Hey! Not cool!"

I roll over and see Lindsay rubbing the side of her head.

"Sorry," I say giggling.

"You are not a morning person are you?"

I shake my head no and she laughs.

"Well I have some good news for you."

I sit up and look at her with interest.

"You know that little store we were at yesterday?"

I nod my head.

"Well she left this for you."

She hands me an envelope and I look at it. I open it and start reading.

"It's a resume?" I say but it comes out as more of a question.

"How did she even know where we live?" I ask and Lindsay shrugs.

"I guess when you were talking to her yesterday you told her."

I nod my head and continue reading.

"She wants to interview me today."

"You work fast."

I laugh, "Well my mom always said I had charm."

I wink and Lindsay laughs.

"Well I know what you're doing today. I'm just gonna go to the grocery store and pick up a few things."

I nod my head as she walks out. I get up and start getting ready. I throw my hair up in a pony tail and put on a nice sweater and some jeans. After I get ready I run downstairs. I stop in the kitchen real quick and grab some left over McDonalds. I head out, locking the door behind me. I walk down the street until I get into the little shop. The bell rings as I open the door. Almost immediately the lady walk up to the front.

"Oh I'm so glad you showed up!"

I laugh a bit.

"I got your letter in the mail," I say holding up the envelope.

She nods and motions me back behind the counter. We walk into a small room in the back and I take a seat across the desk from her.

"Well I sent that to you for a few reasons. One, because I remember you saying you were new in town and I figured you may need a job. Two, you seemed like a delightful young girl and three, we needed help."

We both laugh a bit.

"Well I appreciate the offer and if you would like, I wouldn't mind working here. It seems like a lovely little place!"

"Well we'd love to have you! Oh and I want you to meet my son. He works here as well. Taylor!"

We both wait a minute and then I hear someone behind me. I turn around. I look at the boy and my jaw drops. It's one of the boys from yesterday. He's wearing a different bandana today but the same leather jacket. He smirks when he sees me.

"Yes mom?" he says in a deep raspy voice.

"I want you to meet..."

"Nichole," I fill in.

"Nice to meet you. Nichole."

I smile.

"Well Nichole, if you'd like to start today you can."
