A/n: So my previous chapters kind of suck, but trust me, this is where the plot truly begins.

I woke up the next morning, curled up next to Malachai. He was already awake, staring at the ceiling. I bit my lip, looking up at him, before pecking his neck. He shifted at the sudden touch and pulled me closer. "Good morning." I hummed. "Morning babe." His voice was low and groggy.

"How are you feeling about today?" I asked, leaving another light kiss on his neck. "To be honest, a little anxious."

"You always get anxious before a race, but you always win."

I pecked his lips and got up, walking over to the closet and pulling out an outfit. I could feel his eyes on me and I smirked, leaning down to grab a shirt and some shorts.

He sighed, "I should be getting ready too." I nodded, squeezing on some black jean shorts, a dark gray crop top and my leather jacket over it. I brushed through my hair and applied a thin layer of eyeliner, mascara and dark plum lipstick.

"You look smokin." He remarked as we made our way outside to his car. I snaked my arms around his neck and giggled, "I know."

He shook his head and we hopped into his car. He grabbed my hand as he pulled out of the area. He rarely ever used his car, probably due to the fact he usually uses his bike.

We blasted some music and made our way over to the race. I sat on the window that was rolled down and hung my body out, screaming as we pulled up to the spot. Most everyone was there and I got certain glares from serpents and northsiders while the ghoulies hollered.

I elegantly sunk my body out of the car and walked around to meet Malachai. "You're gonna do great. Are you sure you don't want me behind the wheel with you?"

"Yea, you're too," he eyed my body, "distracting."

I smirked, nodding and placing a kiss on his lips. "That's for good luck. Not that you need it."

He stared at me a couple moments before taking a big breath, "I know I'm a dick, but I just want you to know I love you. And though i may not show it, I'm so lucky to have you in my life and I'm never letting you go again."

I kissed him again, "I love you too. And I never wanna leave you. Now, I think they're waiting. Go show those serpents who owns drag racing."

As if a scene from a movie, my hand slowly slipped from his as I went to go sit with the other ghoulies.

Tall boy came to the center of the 2 cars. "LETS DO IT!"

We all hollered banging on the random cars we were all sitting on. The 2 boys walked to the passenger side of the cars. "GET THESE CARS ON THE ROAD!"

Malachai and Jughead walked to the center and shook hands. "Race over hurk Harvey bridge and to dead mans curve, first one back wins."

Malachai nodded and a red head made her way towards the middle.

Toni stopped her, "uhh I usually do the honors." She shook her head, "Not today, cha cha. I was born for this moment."

She walks to the middle, signaling the cars and they sped off. Everyone running and cheering after them. Make it back first Malachai.

I walked back to the ghoulie area and talked to Sam, a ghoulie friend of Malachais. "You think he'll win?" He asks. "He has too."

A couple minutes go by and we are all talking and laughing. There's an occasional snotty comment from either a serpent or a ghoulie towards each other.

I share a friendly glance over at Fangs and he waves back. I look down, continuing my nervous talk with Sam. All of a sudden, a ghoulie runs out to us. "Everyone scatter! The cops are rounding up ghoulies!"

My eyes widen, "What?!"

I run to the guy, "where's Malachai?!"

"I'm sorry." He sighs, running away. I look around and everyone's running and hopping in their cars and on their bikes, riding off. "Malachai!" I scream, running towards the where the finish line was supposed to be. I feel a big pair of arms wrap around me. "What are you doing?" I scream. "I have to help Malachai!"

"You can't do that if you're arrested too!" Sweet Pea carries me to his bike as I try and kick my way out of his grip. Jughead and his friend come back. "You!" I scream, looking at jughead. "You cheated!" I kick free of Sweet Pea and run up to him poking at his chest. "You just got my boyfriend arrested!"

"I swear I didn't know they were gonna be there!" He screams back at me. "I called." His red head friend stepped in. I glared, pulling at the collar of his shirt and attempted to sucker punch him, but to my avail, Sweet Pea once again pulled me back. "Let go of me!" I broke free. "Fuck you serpents!"

I stormed away. Sweet pea chased after me. "We need to go."

"We don't need to do anything."

"They'll arrest you, now get your ass on my bike!" He screamed. I huffed, knowing he was right and hopped on his bike and wrapped my hands around his waist as he took off. I glared at the ground, not enjoying the ride one bit.

We arrived at his trailer and I hopped off, stalking away. "You're welcome!" He called. I flipped him off, not looking back. He chuckled, "You know you wanna smile!"

I scoffed, "not really! My boyfriend just got arrested!"

He let out a dry laugh, "he was using you for sex and everyone knows it!"

I stopped dead in my tracks. My fists clenched and I spun on my heels back over to him. He was still leaning on his bike and I walked up to him, whacking my hand across his face. "Fuck you." I spit at him, turning around and angrily stomping away.

"You know what, Ali?" He raged, hopping off of his bike, and following me. "Ever since you started hanging out with cannibals, it's like you've changed."

I slowly turned to him. "I didn't change because of the ghoulies. I changed because of you." Our eyes met and i could feel mine gloss over. "Just...stay away from me."

His face hardened and he slowly nodded, turning away from me with a mad glare. I bit my lip to stop myself from crying and I made the long haul back to Malachais.

It took me about 45 minutes to walk there. I could hear police sirens getting closer and I looked around as police officers bathed into ghoulies homes, arresting them.

The ghoulies were being taken...and if I stay...I'm next.
