A young Doragon sat in the medical ward in the Konoha hospital a few days after the slaughter of her clan. Not much could be said to the poor girl when she was told no one survived the massacre besides herself. It was so heartbreaking to the medic ninja's at the hospital to see the young 8 year old having constant nightmares of what she had seen that night and the evidence left on her body.

Currently, the little girl was sitting up in her bed, long waist-length white hair spread around her as she looked out her hospital window with what appeared to be dead eyes. She knew she would not be the same as she once was just a few days ago when she was laughing and playing with her family and clan. It would take a lot of time to accept everything that had happened to her. And she knew she would mourn for a long time. It was just something that couldn't be helped.

But there was one thing she did know. She would get stronger and train until she found the man she met face to face that night. And she knew she would kill him, even if it meant her life would be the price.

While the little Doragon wasn't paying attention, the door to her room opened and a man with grey or white hair that defied gravity walked into the room with who the little girl would soon learn was the highly respected leader of the Konoha Village, the Third Hokage.

The Third Hokage looked on the little girl that the ninja whom accompanied him rescued just days before. He felt pained that such a young child had to see the horrors of the world how she had. And in one of the most brutal ways possible as well. He made a mental note to introduce her to Sasuke Uchiha, whom also lost his whole clan only a few months previous, and hoped that they could possibly become friends and help each other with their pain.

The Third Hokage cleared his throat at that thought to get the little girls attention. "I see you are awake still, child. Can you not sleep?" he asked.

"How can I sleep when all I see is my family dying all around me as soon as my eyes close?" a quiet and meek voice replied.

"I am sorry for your lose my dead child. I can not express the sorrow that I feel just thinking of the horrors you have seen. But just know, I am here if you need someone to speak with."

"What else is there to say?" came the weak voice once more though it was heavy with emotion, and dare he think, possibly with unshed tears.

"I know we can not replace your family. But you have a home here if you would like one," the Third said in a kind voice, hoping to bring the poor child out of her shell that she seemed to be building around herself.

Slowly, the Yuki looked over to over to the man speaking and saw him for the first time with a man whose chakra felt somehow familiar. The saw the eye patch on her left eye, the gauze on her right cheek, and bandages on random places on her body.

"No one could ever replace those I hold dear. Those whom have been taken from me by a man with long black hair and snake like eyes," she said.

Knowing exactly whom the little Doragon was speaking of, both mens' eyes had widened significantly.

"I will find this man one day.... And he will pay for what he did to my family," Yuki spoke slowly to the men, but as she finished her sentence, her eyes began til fill with hate and anger. "The Dragons will have their vengeance as well. And we will rip this man limb from limb until he begs for mercy!" Slowly her visible eye started to turn red, starting to show the rise of her kekkei genkai, the doujutsu Doragon no me, or Dragon Eyes.

"So the rumors of a clan based on the power of dragons is real?" the Third asked.

"My name is Yuki Doragon of the Doragon Clan from Yamagakure, and as the last of my clan I am now the clan leader. I will accept your offer of a home, though I do not know who saved me, where I am, or who you are. I am sorry for my ignorance in this," Yuki said. Slowly she moved her small body on her bed to kneel and bow to the man who she was speaking to. "Please forgive my ignorance."

The Third Hokage looked at the little girl who was bowing to him and let out a slight chuckle. "Child, there is no need to bow to me. I can answer your questions," he said with a soft smile. Yuki looked up and stared at the men in front of her. The Third pointed to the man next to him. "This man here is the one who found you and brought you to us. His name is Kakashi Hatake and he will be the one to be your new guardian here in my village, Konohagakure. I am Hiruzen Sarutobi, and I am the Third Hokage, or the leader of Konoha."

The little girl looked at the man who saved her and bowed. "Thank you for saving my life, Hatake-san," she said in a soft and grateful voice.

The gravity-defying haired man did his signature closed eyed smile, though you could only tell cause of his eyes with his mask over half his face. "It was my pleasure Yuki. I hope you like my, well our, home. When you are released from the hospital finally, I will be the one to pick you up."

       "Thank you, Hatake-san."

"You could always call me Oto-san."

"Maybe one day, Hatake-san. The pain of losing my family is still too close and I don't want to replace their memories. Please understand," Yuki said, feeling slightly bad for how she refused his offer.

"One day then," He replied. "Well, Hokage-sama, it is getting late. Maybe it is time for Yuki to get some rest?" Kakashi said, already taking to the little child sitting on the bed.

"Yes, I think you are right Kakashi," Hiruzen replied. He looked over to the little girl. "Yuki, dear child. When you are released from the hospital, you will be picked up by Kakashi and he will have you ready to be enrolled in the ninja academy we have here. You have a big goal to fulfill. This will be the easiest way to reach it."

Yuki's eye returned to norm now that she was completely calm. "Thank you, Hokage-sama," she said with a small smile.

"We will bid you good night for now dear child. Your journey is just beginning here with us in the leaf. Get some rest," he replied, happy to help the small child after what had happened to her.

       "I will....Hokage-sama."
