*sigh*

Looking out the window as the rain falls at a steady pace. Only thing that I can hear is the sound of police cars flying up and down the street. There were only five minutes left in my forensic science class. The class was having some type of open discussion about finger prints...

Slouching down in my seat, I let my head fall down on my desk. It was cold maybe for the last four minutes I can sleep...

"Wake Upppp" I must have falling asleep fast, I woke up to the sound of my best friend Ashley yelling in my ear.

"If you ever wake me up again I will attack you"

I rolled my head off my desk and eyed her. She leaned on the edge of my desk with the biggest smile ever. She was always cheerful and happy, no matter what happened to her.

"Not so fast bitch you lucky it was me and not Xavier." She grabbed my book bag and threw it over her left shoulder, while walking out the room.

I followed her because she was my ride home. I was trying to save up money for my very own car, but until then I would be car-poling with her or catching the bus every were I needed to go.

I wasn't a popular senior, but everyone knew not to step on my toes and keep out of my way.

I kept to myself half the time if I wasn't in class I was in the library hiding behind a book.

People knew me either through one of my best friends. I only had two best friends Ashley, and Xavier. They were the reason I didn't go insane yet

“So what do you have planned for the weekend?” Ashley asked as if she didn’t already know

“Well if must know Ms. Noisy pants I don’t have to work tomorrow so I’m planning on relaxing in the house, you know me and television and ice cream” I looked at her because I knew she was giving me the look of disappointment.

“I’m doing the same but I have track practice that’s going to run late today, and if I don’t hurry there now I would have a three mile run added to whatever they have planned for practice.” She looked at me and winked

Ashley was the captain of the track team and they were getting into shape for outdoor season.

“Do you think you can get Xavier to take you home today?” she looked sorry

“I could if I wanted but I’ll just walk its only four blocks” I gave her a hug while she ran to the locker room to get ready.

I pushed the doors to the school open and headed home. The rain was picking up and so I decide to start jogging at a steady pace hoping I would make it home before it started pouring on me. Plus I didn’t have an umbrella or jacket on.

I could have easily asked Xavier for a ride home but I didn’t want to bother him. Ever since I told him how much I actual had feelings for him it’s been weird between us. He said that he loves me with everything he had but he wasn’t trying to ruin our friendship. We been best friend for four years now longest friendship I have ever had. Plus he now had a new girlfriend and felt the need to distance myself.

I wasn’t so big on trusting people so friendship wasn’t something I tried hard to build on.

“Mom” No one answered me so I’m guessing she wasn’t home yet and I didn’t see papers all over the floor so I knew my little sister wasn’t home yet either.

It was almost four and I knew everybody would be home in less than an hour. Since I was home alone I grabbed a towel from the nearest closet, and headed to the laundry room. Stripping out my wet clothes I threw them in the washer and headed to the shower.
