No one knows exactly how the end came to existence, or why, but legend has it that the island of the dragon was occupying the space before time began. Before all that we know came to be.
Now, as you probably already know, the strongholds that are found in the over-world's undergrounds, is well known as the home of the portal. These strongholds are are recorded to be thousands of years old. You may think that the high lord: Notch, created these mysterious structures. Others believe that the demon lord of the Nether: Herobrine, was the one who built them.
But why would an over-world god or an under-world demon construct such a thing like the stronghold in which is not in their building styles? But most of all why have the only passage to the end in there?
Well, you see, neither of those beliefs are true.
Before civilization began there was the first race of Endarians that roamed the biomes of minecraftia: the farlanders.
It is believed by those who worship the ender dragon, that the farlanders are the stone masons of the ancient strongholds, and their elders were gifted the time and knowledge to create the portal. The passage between the end and the over-world.
With a power so strong as a portal to pass between two dimensions, required a great cost. the farlanders knew that the only way to enter the end, was to sacrifice their enderman cousin that will occasionally appear at night. They were not pleased with this, but they knew that it was the only way to reach their forgotten home.
