They found his pale, lifeless body a few hours later, Hayley had broken down when she saw him and had been sent home to break the news to the kids. The police wrapped Gerards stiff body in plastic and sent him to be prepped for burial.
The funeral was bittersweet, filled with Gerards small group of friends and family. Hayley blamed herself for this, Gerards death. But she also hated Gerard for pulling the trigger. Gee had a weak moment, for one split second he forgot about everything but Hayley and his broken heart. That gun had been his saving grace, it stopped the pain. Hayley had considered ending her life in the same fashion but knew she couldnt leave her kids.
A few years past and the kids, now able to understand what had happened, visited their dads grave regularly. And they stood side by side as they watched their mothers casket be lowered into the ground next to their dads. Hayley had been found with a gun and a letter for her kids. She never stopped loving Gerard, and now, theyd be together forever. Zach, Gerard and Hayleys eldest son, had been the one to find his mother. Him and his 3 older siblings, Krissy, Liam and Faith, took care of the younger kids. The kids visited their parents every weekend, with new stories of how well school was going and how Liam was the star quarterback of the schools football team. They never forgot to visit their parents. After all, their parents had always had time for them.
