Gurjeet was the first one to reach & you can clearly imagine how surprised the guy must be watching half of the Indian team lounging in his best friend's room. He was just staring at everyone with eyes filled with astonishment, watching his best friend gaping at his other best friends & family, Virat thought to rid him of his misery as he got up & greeted him friend with a warm man hug, clapping his back while Akansha followed his lead hugging him after he was done & proudly declaring welcome to the family buddy.

After a few words of encouragement, Vikansha proudly watched as he interacted happily with the rest of them.

"so, paaji what do you do?" Rohit asked him excitedly looking like a kid on sugar high

"well, I'm an DC posted here" he informed all of them smiling lightly

"ohk, one min you wanted to tell me you cleared the UPSC exam & you're an IAS officer" Virat asked his friend looking thoroughly shocked

"yes" Gurpreet answered him with raised eyebrows

"ohk, our country is doomed than, you & DC, god save us now," he asked in his total nautanki voive

"you" Gurjeet yelled at him angrily as he chased after him in the whole room while the others laughed happily at their antics while Rhoit, Jinx & sikhar helped Gurjeet in his chase as they threw cushions at Virat trying to slow his speed, the girls just rolled their eyes stating kids.

At that moment Abeer with Rihana entered the room as soon as Rihana saw Akansha she ran towards her, breaking down slowly in numerous sobs again in her arms while Abeer kept on looking at them in confusion as he moved towards Virat & Gurjeet. As the other guys saw other girls joining the hug slowly too trying to console the poor girl.

"ohk, what did we miss" Abeer & Gurjeet asked the others looking thoroughly confused

"well, you missed the whole history.........nothing else" Virat spoke nonchalantly

Gurjeet & Abir both gave him not impressed looks which he ignored with expertise

The girls made Rihana sat beside Aradhya on the bed & gave her water to drink.

"so, how did all this start???" Rihana asked no one in particular

" well, from when your family fixed her marriage with them , I guess" Come the general answer from the whole room.

"no, it started before when Virat & I started get distant I guess" Akansha spoke thoughtfully

"I'm not understanding anything," Abeer spoke while Gurjeet nodded his head vigorously

"well, after  Gurjeet & you left for your colleges, leaving me & him in the same college, for the first few months everything was going fine, we could juggle everything perfectly but then Virat rise to stardom become more steady, his fans increasing, shoots, practice & matches creating a drift b/w us, we didn't get enough time to spend with each other & kept on drifting apart, totally unaware of happenings in each others life, our meetings becoming rarer & rarer from once in a week to once in a month, life started feeling like hell without any of you beside my side & my introvert nature taking best of me, then come another girl in my life, the girl called Shreya, she forwarded her hand of friendship towards me & I accepted, we become fast good friends starting a new bond of friendship while my & Virat's monthly meet continued, she was totally unaware of my past &  my friends, she always thought she was my only friend & I didn't do or tell her anything on contrary, life was going as it goes but it felt like I was just breathing not living as living was always with you guys( she stated looking at the three of her childhood friends standing together) then came the night when we meet for the last time, Virat was leaving for his tour to Sri Lanka, that night we meet again in the park in front of the school."

Flashback

It was late in the evening when Akansha reached the deserted park, She entered the park her eyes automatically searching for her best friend & she found him sitting on the swing staring at nothing, her feet took her to her destination that was always him. She sat silently beside him on the second swing, swinging lightly looking at the direction, he was staring at

"you know how much I stare at that direction, I can't see anything care to elaborate what are you staring at with so much concentration" she asked him softly teasingly, with a smile gracing her lips

"four kids"

"four kids" she repeated

"yeah, a girl three guys, goofing around" he replied still staring at the area covered with trees

"playing hide & seek" the girl stated

"naah, the girl is stomping her feet angrily because all the guys has climbed the tree like monkeys while she is left alone on the ground" he spoke smiling softly

"well, the guys were really monkeys, no doubt they could climb the trees like them too" the girls replied laughing lightly remembering the sweet childhood moments

"monkeys huh then what would that make you?" He asked her teasingly

"a monkey tamer" she spoke mischievously

"haha, really funny, you know what I'm missing those idiots too much right now" he told her with a sad smile gracing his lips

"well, it's not like you don't miss them every moment" she asked him with raised eyebrows

"yeah, I do but I'm missing them so much more right now" he told her softly

"and what's the reason for such a sentimental mood if I may ask" She asked him holding his hand as she smiled lovingly towards him, the smile he misses so much right now

"well, I got selected for the Indian squad, I'm going to play under MSD's captain ship on this tour of Sri Lanka" he told her nervously

"that's good news buddy why are you saying this with a long face" she asked him curiously

"I don't know yrr, I'm so nervous, what If I don't perform upto their expectation, what if I'm not that good enough to be in the national team, what If i do something wrong & all this ends for me, I can't bear to lose this dream, you know how much this matter to me Akshu, dad wanted me to play for the national team & now it's happening & I'm scared, I can't bear the thought of giving up on the national jersey or making a fool out of myself, I'm hell scared Akshu, I don't know I'm just so nervous" he told her looking down

"oye, our Cheeku is a brilliant cricketer alright, cricket is his life, he lives for playing cricket & no one is perfect dude, you're going to learn, to push yourself harder, to become more better, we are students cheeku & what we do best is learn from our lesson, prepare for the diff test thrown in our way & tackle them all with different strategies & I'll just repeat what we said to you before you become the captain of U-19 team or before you left for the world cup in Malaysia, no matter what you will always have three fans cheering for you, helping you when you're down & watching you ride your success from the sidelines, we will always be there for you no matter if anyone else is beside you or not, got it, Mr. thickheaded" she asked him with raised eyebrows

"yeah, miss Shine btw I have to leave tomorrow" he told her sadly

"ohk, all the best then & I'll miss you" she told him smiling happy for him

"I'll miss you too" he told her emotionally as he stood up & hugged her tightly, both were happy & sad at the same times, tears silently flowing out of their eyes, as they bid each other bye unknown to the fact that it was the last time they were meeting unknown to the fact that this hug will change her life forever.
