An incident

Jackson spent majority of the day around my house. We ended up talking about everything and anything.

Then it came to when Jackson had to leave. I walked Jackson to the front door, "remember to call me with any concerns!" Jackson said as he walked out the door.

He then turned around suddenly with a look of thought on his face, "and I'll see you at my lacrosse game tomorrow, right?"

I nodded my head with a smile on my face - and then a thought occurred.

" how will you get home? your car is at school."

Jackson gave me a reassuring smile, "i'll just walk - it's no big deal."

WITH WOLVES WALKING AROUND?! I am not gonna risk Jacksons life. So I grabbed my car keys next to the door and walked outside.

I slammed the front door shut and walked over to my beloved Ferrari.

"hop in. I'll take you home." I said - leaving no room for argument.

I hopped into the car and waited to Jackson to get in.

Jackson got in with a smile on his face, "i could have easily walked home Athena."

I rolled my eyes, "you are so idiotic. There are wolves loose around here and they'll hurt you."

"not many things can hurt me Athena." Jackson replied.

I speeded out of the driveway and cruised down the road.

"dont think your indestructible Jackson - that's a mistake many make before reality hits." I could feel tears brim at the corners of my eyes.

My foot slowly pushed down on the acceleration more.

"jeez Athena - your going a bit fast." Jackson said from besides me. I then felt his stare on me, "your crying." he said quietly.

I felt a tear slip down my face and saw flashes come back to me.

The blood - the wolf - my brother.....

"ATHENA LOOK OUT?!"

I quickly turned the steering wheel and felt us go hurtling through the air. It was slightly peaceful and it all seemed to go in slow motion - glass flying everywhere, the sudden thumps of the car colliding with the ground. My thoughts drifted to my brother and my life before he went - before he died.

At least ill be with my brother soon. And with that thought I closed my eyes and accepted this sad ending.

I'm sorry mother, I'm sorry father. It kind of just happened.

Then suddenly - darkness.

Jackson's POV

I slowly opened my eyes and looked around me.  I was outside the Ferrari which was turned over in the middle of the road.

I quickly stood up and shook my head, Athena?!!

I quickly hopped over to the drivers side and sure enough - she was there. Strapped in still - dangling in the air.

I quickly unbuckled her and dragged her out of the overturned car - making sure to not cut her on the glass which was scattered everywhere.

I checked her pulse quickly and it was fading.

I felt tears stream down my face, "ATHENA!"

I quickly bit into my palm and dangled it over her mouth, "please drink up Athena. It will heal you."

Tears still rolled down my face as I waited for her to drink my blood. How could I just let her drive like that - I should have drove.

I felt Athena start to drink my blood which made me sigh in relief. She will be okay with my blood in her system.

I waited a couple of minutes before taking my hand away. I watched and listened for her pulse. I could hear it - it was slowly getting stronger.

"HOW COULD YOU?!" I heard a loud roar.

I turned around and came face to face with Derek.

"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER?!" He screamed in my face with that alpha tone of his.

"YOU MONSTER!" And I felt myself get flung against a tree.

I watched Athena - as he started to fling me about. I am a monster - I should have been driving.

"YOU BLOOD SUCKING DEMON! I KNEW SOMETHING WAS OFF WITH YOU!" Derek continued to scream.

Hisses started to come from the tree line and I watched Athena still. She was resting - her heart beat becoming increasingly better.

I watched as some of my vampires got closer to her, "DONT!" I shouted at the vampires.

Derek stopped chucking me everywhere and looked at the vampires surrounding Athena.

A low growl came out of his mouth.

I used my vampire speed to quickly get Athena and rest her in my arms. Before going back to my vampire clan.

I watched as Derek ripped the unfaithful vampires apart before turning back to me - ready to rip me to shreds. But I was holding Athena which made him stop in his movements.

His face became soft as she started to stir in my arms.

I guess the bad boys got a soft spot for Athena.

I smirked at Derek and shouted to all my vampires, "go back - retreat. I've got it all handled from here."

I felt my vampires retreat as I gave Derek a smirk, "You can't kill me - as long as Athena keeps me in her life. We've formed a bond and you killing me would only lead to her hating you which clearly you don't want."

I watched as Derek gave me a glare before turning away.

"lets just get her back to yours. You have a pack doctor and I'm sure that will be better for her - but I go with her. The only reason I'm not taking her to a vampire doctor is because my newborn vampires are a bit unstable right now." I reasoned.

I watched as Derek nodded his head and turned - before running back through the woods. I followed in his tail using my vampire speed. Athena still resting in my arms.

We eventually got back to Derek's pack house and walked through the building. Whilst walking through I could feel the states and glares as I continued to walk through the building. As you can see, vampires and werewolves don't have the best relationship right now.

We continued to walk around the building, up many stairs until we got to a bedroom. I quickly laid Athena down on the bed and sat besides her as the doctor did his checks. Whilst Derek stood in the corner of the room the whole time - a concentrating look on his face.
