Several days had passed since Kaylaar told Vin the news and word had gotten out some how. Even with a ship this size everyone knew from the captain to the cadet that she was with warrior but she did not care and they knew she could still kick there asses all the way to Pollux 4 and back if they tried to go easy on her. She was the XO and her hubby was the ambassador on board. "Captain how did everyone find out about me being pregnant?" she said to Jad as she sat down "Beats the hell out of me Commander I just run the ship" Jad said smirking until Kaylaar slapped him up the back of his head "OW! Now your lucky your my brothers wife and my friend otherwise id make you a crewmen so fast for that" Jad said with his cheek and charm that would always lead to a good lough on the bridge or enginroom or anywhere. Jad was a charmer and a fighter and a friend to all on this ship as the way it should be. He kept the ships company at ease when needed but also drove them hard when needed too. It was a good balance.
The ship was on patrol near the former Amagosa star system. This was destroyed some years ago by a mad man trying to go back into the Nexus. When they picked up an odd but familiar signature, the tell tale signs that the enemy was nearby "Tactical send out a tachyon pulse and then a spread of photons set for display burst that should light them up" Kaylaar ordered just before Jad would say the same thing "and vent plasma from the engines and look for signs of wakes" Jad added to his engineer on the bridge. Doing these in combination they found three old war birds in the area cloaked but soon to be debris and plasma residue. "Red alert shields up and target those ships lets see what this big girl can do" Jad ordered he was impressed that the drilling they had done has paid off in spades "give them a full spread of quantum torpedoes and then an over charge of the aft phaser array and fire" Jad said as he felt the Adrenalin pump through his veins he was going to take more vengeance for his old ship he worked hard to upgrade and keep flying. The torpedoes were flying out of the tubes on there way to there targets. The phasers were ready if the torpedoes hit. The quantum torpedoes find there targets and revealing them, as there cloaks were ripped off them within nano seconds phaseres ripped across there hulls sending secondary explosions out into the vacuum of space. They were toast. The war birds were dead in space "PTAQS" Jad spat at them "Tac put them out of there misery." with that a final spread of torpedoes left there tubes destined to destroy three war birds floating dead in space. Each found there mark exploding and leaving nothing but bits of metal and puffs of gas floating in the endless void. Some would bounce of the Valk shields the rest would drift. The crew celebrated there first victory of the valk and her crew "OK OK OK everyone great job now I want a full report on what was drained and how we can improve performance on my desk by 1500 today" he ordered his engineers and tactical officers. When from the comm a message came from the Dr "Ah captain Trin came in to sickbay complaining of not being well. Ah you better comedown here sir" came the voice of Silar Jad looked terrified "Kaylaar you take the bridge" Jad said as he raced to the nearest turbo lift. In sickbay Dr Silar had her tricorder out scanning a group of cells in Trin abdomen "Interesting but I believe congratulations are in order for you and the captain." Trin smiled as Jad came running in to the room "Wha whats wrong?" Jad asked Trin and Silar not knowing how to read Trins smile "Sir I wish to be the first to congratulate you Trin is Pregnant and both are healthy. Jad stumbled back for a second feeling shock. He then leapt forward grabbing trin around the wast and holding her tight as tears of joy began to well up in his eyes "I'm going to be a daddy? Oh baby that's wonderful. Half Klingon half Orion wow" Trin burst into tears of joy Silar knew this was normal amongst emotional species she to felt joy for the couple but help her composure.
Jad Trin Vin and Kaylaar sat eating a meal in the captains mess. When Jad stood "Brother Kaylaar, Trin and I have an anouncement, Trin is carrying the first Klingon Orion hybrid, and the two of us will take the oath of marriage in front of you in three days." Vin was in shock as was Kaylaar.
