MAYURA

What is his problem?

Shimon... What's wrong with him?

The week of training at Hidden Falls is almost done, but still, Mayura can't help but pace around her room, back and forth.

Ijika's men tried to ambush them just this afternoon, but instead of letting her fend them off alongside him, Shimon ordered her to hide in a hidden walled closet, just by the kitchen.

She can't just leave him alone.

So she went off, with two guns, a sharp knife, and 5 little nunchucks, (Is that correct?) and fought with him. But instead of feeling grateful, he was quite pissed. After all... He hates it when his orders aren't followed.

She knew it, but still, her pride and conscience did not allow her to just sit in a corner and act like a frail, spoiled princess whose prince is going to do all the defending. She has to stand up. After all...

What's the purpose of this training then?

Of course, that was what she reasoned to him after that adrenaline-triggering encounter with Ijika's men, but still, he just cussed at her. She was scared, of course. That was a side of him that his men and foes could see often.

He was scary.

She trembled, guilt and fear suddenly engulfing her, as she looked at her things, neatly packed up. She can hear the ruffle of the foam and the creak of the wooden bed frame at the other room, indicating that her husband is packing his own stuff in a rather rash way.

Is he really that mad at her? Maybe it was her fault. Thinking about it, she almost got hit at the head, if only not Shimon was too fast at pulling the trigger first. She realized it just now. Looks like the hot water from the shower was able to get off only the blood which smeared over her whole body.

Not the tint of pride in her head.

He just tried to protect her. It would have been much more easier for him, if only she had followed his orders.

And so, they'll be spending their last night here, with a pent up guilt in her and a sour tick in their hearts.

But she can't allow it to be just like that.

So she got out of her room, and went to the kitchen for she decided to cook dinner, if that was the only way to pay back to him for her stubbornness. Luckily, there was enough ingredients in the fridge to make her favorite dish: Fried Chicken marinated in Lemon Grass. (Meh paboritos 💕)

She sighed, as she took a bunch of Lemon Grass and started chopping it. Is this enough? Will he even like it? Should she also bake his favorite, Chocolate Cake? But there's not enough time. Maybe Leche Flan? Still not enough time! Maybe she'll just prepare some boiling hot macha tea to warm them from the night's cold wind. But Iced Coca Cola goes well with Fried Chicken and Fried Rice more than tea. Agh, this added more weight to her already stressed mind! Just... Too confusing! What now?

"What's for dinner?"

"SAVEMEYATO!" His cool voice shocked her whole being, and in a flabbergasted manner, she accidently threw the kitchen knife into his direction, which he luckily dodged as the sharp tool hit and got stuck at the wooden wall right beside him. Although he did get a thin scratch on his cheek, which is just below his eye, and dark red blood that contrasted the brightness of his light blue eyes started to swell up from the surface.

First, she was a hard headed wife, and now she's was about to be the cause of her husband's almost-possible blindness. She really is the worst, right?
