!WARNING!
Mild lemon coming in the way! (Mild, okay? Dunno if you can actually call this a lemon, but am pretty sure it's mild.)
BTW, if you're not comfortable with 'certain scenes,' Then you may read the parts of this chappy which aren't fully italic in font. (Don't worry, I'll add some 'fluff' after all those.... 'Lemon.')
BTW, I'll apologize for the not so frequent update. (Y'know, PTs and stuff. Ughhhh.)
And I'm making it out to you through this chappy.
Enjoy~~~

Is this how it really has to be? Well maybe it is. After all...
We all live in a world full of lies.
An image of a happy ending seems to be a lie. Assurance of a peaceful life, a life where the Ijikas are already overthrown and banished from the face of Earth, already a lie. And their marriage? JUST A BIG LIE. Everything about them, it was all just a lie, just a show to prove that the two mafias are really and truly united. But there's the sad truth that was hard to swallow.
It's a lie.
There's nothing between them, except an unwanted matrimony, gifted friendship, needed intimacy, deeper understandings, and unknown love.
It wasn't like they wanted to get married to each other at first, considering the fact that they barely even knew each other, although after a couple of days, they don't know why, but something between them just suddenly sparked the moment they looked into each other's blue eyes. It was a feeling of safety, and they just learned to trust each other, to care for each other, and to lean on each other the moment that Shimon broke down with the memory of the deaths caused by his own hands and was crying with all his heart, only to be supported and protected by Mayura's embrace from the cold evening breeze while there he was, wetting her kimono with his tears.
And then they formed this friendship. It all started with a morning phone call, well, she just wanted to check if he was fine on the meeting, until she got so into talking to him that she spent a while talking with him, and they both were sharing funny talks and silly secrets.
And the surprise kiss on their wedding day. Well that wasn't the actual reason that they started to think of 'unwanted thoughts' about each other, but weeks passed by, almost a month, and they can really feel this... Something. Deep inside of them, just remembering the taste of each other's lips, the softness and the heat, and it always triggered every time that they were close: especially on that one rainy day, where they both had an intimate moment after playing under the rain, and also the Tonight Ball, but maybe it was that time... When they were training and sweat drops and water droplets dropping downwards their body really put some tension on them everytime they went near each other for some demonstrations or if Mayura would beg Shimon to call it a 'day.'
A long and tiring day full of inner struggles that the both of them unknowingly shared.
But they understood each other. Only a month has passed, (or was it two? They weren't paying attention anyways, since the only thing that's on their mind is how to control their freaking hormones while keeping a healthy BUT friendly relationship LMAO.) yet it felt like they had known each other for years. It's like they're 'instant' best friends who developed the syndrome called 'love-at-first-sight.' Of course they weren't aware of what they felt for each other, but they became aware of what each other feels, whether they are comfortable or awkward with each other, whether they are both having a good day or maybe they have to be serious about some business that needs some proper handling, or even when Shimon's demons have awakened and Mayura has to behave like the good girl that she is or if Mayura is having this 'girly-daily' mood swings, as how Shimon would refer to it, and he has to buy her a dozen pack of ice cream but bought a pack of Samyang instead and has to handle the whiny little baby within her.
