"Alexandrea?" Peter exclaimed. I can see that he was surprised to see me. "What happened to you?"

"Is it bad?" I asked disappointed that he didn't like it.

"Peter?!" Melissa and Gayle yelled in unison.

"Uhh... um... no. I was just surprised to see you." Peter tried to explain.

"Don't listen to him Alex. He doesn't know anything about fashion." Melissa glared at her brother and walked towards me. This girl is so adorable. She studied my attire with a very wide smile on her face and every now and then she would nod as if agreeing to something.

"Alex, you're so pretty! I can't believe you’re the same girl I met earlier." she smiled cheekily.

“Why thank you. It was all Gayle's work." I said and patted her forehead.

"Well this deserves to be celebrated!" she exclaimed and ran off to the other room.

"What was that?" I asked Gayle who was talking to Peter.

"You should have dinner with us." Gayle squealed.

"Dinner? Uhm... I need to check with my parents about that." I replied.

"Oh of course. You can call them. I'm sure they'll agree." Gayle said as she walked off towards the kitchen. I followed her outside with Peter just behind me. I was about to reach the door when I accidentally tripped on an extension cord and landed flat on my butt. I was so embarrassed but quickly stood up as if nothing happened. I brushed myself off and stood straight. At the corner of my eye I saw Peter who was trying really hard not to laugh at what just happened.

"You did not see that!" I pointed at him. He wasn't able to hold it in any longer and laughed hysterically. "Hey that hurt you know" I pouted.

"Sorry... sorry. Uhm are you ok?" Peter stopped laughing and was wiping his eyes.

"Yeah I'm fine as long as you won't tell on me." I said.

"Here," Peter extended his arms for me to take. "I think you need a little help going to the kitchen." he smiled. I reluctantly took his arms. I wouldn't want that to happen again, no sir.

"You look beautiful." Peter suddenly whispered as we walked towards their kitchen.

"What?" I asked not believing what he just said, but he just smiled and I asked nothing further. I felt pretty for once and that compliment just made my day. This make over wasn't too bad after all.

Early the following morning, I woke with a smile plastered on my face. The night before was splendid. I met Gayle's mother at dinner, who was a wonderful person and learned that she was a pediatrician at St. Luke's Hospital. After dinner Peter, Gayle and Melissa all drove me home just to make sure that I was safe. My father was already asleep and mom was not yet home so I went straight to bed.
