Getting the small amount of clothing and furniture over from the dingy motel room to the lavish house takes less time than Jack thought that it would. Within a few trips he's back in what's now his new room, and Chase smiles at him from the doorway. White bed sheets peppered with footballs have been placed at the foot of the bed, and even though they have only known each other for a couple of hours, Jack knows where they came from.

"Just something to keep you warm until tomorrow when you meet with the doc," Chase shrugs. "Once you get settled in, I'll take you around to the rest of the house. I think everyone is here except Schneep. You may not get to meet Robbie until you've been here for a while. He's super shy of new people."

Jack gives him what he hopes is another smile. The feeling is easier on his lips and muscles this time around. The jock tells him that he'll be in the living room when he's ready for the rest of the tour, and then leaves Jack on his own to give him some more privacy. The Irishman takes a moment just to take some deep breaths. He finally has a bed that isn't going to kill his back every night. There's a real kitchen where he can make fresh coffee, and even with the apparent public sex in the main parts of the house, this place is nicer than anything he's seen before in his life.

Pulling out his wallet and phone, he places them both on the right side of his newly made bed and heads out to the living room. Chase is sitting on the longer of the two dark green couches, his face focused on the flickering images of some sort of game show on the large TV screen. He cheers when the lady seems to have won some sort of motorcycle, and turns once he hears Jack coming up behind him.

"I love this show," he laughs, patting his hand to the spot right next to him. "Mind if we do the tour once it goes to a commercial?"

Jack almost breaks out in a laugh at the pleading look in the blue eyes and says that's fine by him. The other man cheers and wraps Jack up in another warm hug once the Irishman gets settled down beside him. A giggle is squeezed out and it takes a second for Jack to realize that the laugh belonged to him. The sound even startles Chase as he pulls away from the hug, with his grin even bigger than before.

"Your laugh is awesome, bro. Better be careful where you toss it around in this place. You may get more hugs than you want."

"No such thing," Jack replies, he smiles back just as wide. "I've forgotten how much I miss hugs. I'll take as many as I can get."

With another warm pat on the back the two continue to watch television, going past the commercial breaks until the show was fully over. Chase apologizes as they start to head towards the left side of the house, but Jack waves his hands at the silliness of the jock's words. This is the first time in forever that he's had so much fun. The left side of the house is much quieter, except for Anti's room. The blaring of what sounds to Jack like death metal mixed with what comes across of the mewls of a cat seep out of the room.

"With Anti, you always want to make sure you knock," Chase advises, still ushering Jack down the longer hall. "Or better yet, just ask him to invite you in, if you must deal with him at all."

Jack doesn't plan to get anywhere near the angry green haired man if he can help it, still remembering the raging eyes and the dick and balls more vividly than he ever wanted. The next room belongs to Robbie, with his name in scratchy writing. The room seems oddly silent, and Jack turns to ask if everything is all right.

"Robbie is...really shy, like I said," Chase blurts out before Jack can ask about the lavender haired man in great detail. "Once you've been here for a while you'll definitely meet him. I think that he'll be another one of us who really falls in love with your laugh."

"Another one of us?"

The jock clears his throat as they get to a final room at the end of the hall to see the door mostly closed. The sweet smell of something floral hits Jack's small nose as his eyes read the name "Marvin" in rounded edges. Each of the fine etched letters almost seem to glisten with some sort of fast changing paint and sparkles from a deep purple to what looks like a golden hue.

"You and Marvin will get along really well," Chase remarks as the two men turn back to head to the living room again. "He's a real awesome guy to watch television with, and he's great with his hands."

Jack isn't sure how to take the last part of what Chase has said, but decides not to ask any more questions for now. The desire to just get used to everyone's names is enough to be going on with in the meantime. He somewhat wonders if it's too soon to ask about using the kitchen to make himself some lunch. With not having to worry about rent would give him the opportunity to buy enough food a large meal for all of his new roommates to share.

"Is it okay if I make everyone here something to eat? My treat for being so great."

The giant grin returns and Chase gives a small shake of his bushy haired head.

"I'm pretty sure that everyone has eaten while you were still grabbing your stuff from the motel, but if you want to show your thanks just relax and be yourself. Most of the guys are just thrilled to have a new roomie."

Jack's left eyebrow quirks at the part "most of the guys".

Chase rubs the back of his neck with the palm of his right hand.

"Well, not Anti. He kind of got outvoted by everyone about some new blood in the crib. He'll get over it, though..."

The jock's voice trails off, and Jack's not sure if even Chase believes what he's saying.

"So," Chase continues, looking like he's trying hard to shake off the uncomfotable topic. "Do you like to swim, Jack? We have a small pool out back. How about we take a few laps together? Loser has to do fifty push ups!"

Jack giggles again, already recalling what bag has his swimming trunks wadded up inside of it.

"You're on," Jack chimes, already speeding towards his new bedroom. "I'll be ready in five minutes, tops."
