-Taylor's POV-

Standing in the very front of the class in all his glory was Harper Perry. Avril and Hannah were right when they were gushing about him during lunch. His chocolate brown eyes shift from the teacher and are now staring at the class. He runs his hand through his black hair and returns it to his pocket then sighs and starts introducing himself to the class.

"Hi, my name is Harper Perry. I live with my father and two sisters, we just moved here because of my father's work and I like football. Oh and by football I mean actual football not the sport where you hold a ball that's not even round in your hands and run around pushing people."

With that the entire class laughs and some even agree with him then he looks again through the class and finds the only empty seat, which happened to be next to me. His eyes land on me and I suddenly feel as if time stopped and it was just me and him. Damn his eyes! I just got lost in them. He stares at me as if asking for permission to sit next to me.

"You can sit next to Ms. Summers over there!" The teacher interrupts.

Hannah and Avril instantly look to me and beg me with their eyes to switch places. I laugh at them and just stare ahead of me ignoring them and Harper. I try to pretend to be listening to the teacher and actually taking notes but I felt someone's stare burning holes through the side of my face. I look his way and I catch him staring. He doesn't look away, he only smiles and whispers a small "Hello". I look to my other side thinking maybe he's talking to Avril or Hannah or somebody else on my right side but from the envious stares of the girls sitting next to Hannah I knew he was talking to me. I greet him back and look back to the teacher.

"What's your name?" He asks.

I'm about to answer but the teacher catches me before I say a word.

"Ms. Summers would you like to spend your weekend in detention?"

"No, sir!" I say quickly jumping at his tone.

"Then I suggest you concentrate on what I'm saying and you can get to know Mr. Perry later!"

I apologize and look down to my notes which were blank except for some doodle.

Harper doesn't stop talking though and this time the teacher catches him and threatens to send him to the principal's office.

Once the bell rings, I quickly gather my things and look to Hannah and Avril only to find they had already left. I notice Hannah left a book of hers and when I grab it so I would give it to her, I notice a note that she left me.

'Don't rush after us and just give the boy a chance! He's obviously interested in you! I know what you're going to say. That you're not interested, he's not even hot and he's sooooooooooooo not you're type but you and I know that this is not true! Unless you're gay which would be OK with us (Avril would be happy because you know she's secretly gay too and she's probably crushing on you) Besides, you know you like him too so don't give us any of that 'I'm not interested' crap you say about every guy who talks to you! Please don't ruin this!!

PS don't stare too much into his eyes. You look retarded!

Oh and don't ever show this to Avril! She'll kill me!'

I can't believe they're doing this to me!!! Before I have time to back down and rush after them his voice startles me.

"Since we've been rudely interrupted, let's start over! Hi my name is Harper Perry!" He says, holding his hand for me to shake. I stare at it a little and then I look back to his face and suddenly stop myself when I remember Hannah's remark about staring at his eyes. Damn, they are like magnets! I almost got lost in them again!
