It was a quiet night at the Avengers Tower and everyone was gathered in the common area. Steve, Bucky and Sam sat watching TV while Wanda and Vision were cooking dinner for everyone. Natasha walked in chatting to Clint after a training session and Tony was following behind them typing away on his phone. Tony looked up as he put his phone away "evening all..... where's Y/N?" He asked noticing his sister was currently missing from the group.
"I haven't seen her since this morning" Steve shrugged unable to answer his question. Everyone else started to reply along the same line until Natasha cleared her throat and sat at the breakfast bar "shes on a date" she told them all casually as she reached for an apple.
"A date??.... with who??" Tony asked straightening in his chair.
"Please tell me it isn't another one of those online dating sites again" Wanda rolled her eyes, Natasha just nodded with a smirk, Y/N had been going on a few of these dates lately all of which had been terrible.
"Im going to have a chat with that sister of mine when she gets home" Tony moaned going to pour himself a cup of coffee.
"I dont get the whole internet dating thing..... dating was much easier before hey Buck?" Steve said looking to Bucky who was sat there with a face like thunder "you okay pal?" He asked when he got no response from his friend.
"Fine" he shrugged keeping his eyes on the TV. Before Steve could ask him anything else the doors opened and Y/N walked in.
"You're back early" Natasha smirked at her best friend who rolled her eyes in reply before flopping down on the sofa between Steve & Bucky.
"Guy was a complete jerk, i only got through the appetiser before i faked an emergency call and got the hell outta there" Y/N admitted "why are guys such jerks??"
"We're not all bad" Tony piped up giving his sister a look.
"Most of you are" Y/N teased laughing at her brothers expression "why cant i find a nice guy.... like these two!" She pointed at Steve & Bucky "they're gentlemen, know how to treat a lady right but can kick your ass too" the group chuckled while Steve & Bucky sat there blushing.
"T, how bout you create a time machine so i can go back to the 40's and find me a man?"
"Sweetheart i love you.... but thats a little too much even for me. For now anyway"
"God damn it" Y/N threw her head back dramatically against the sofa cushions "guess i'll have to carry on with these awful dates then"
"Y/N, you don't need a man in your life to be happy" Tony said softly.
"No but it sure as hell helps!" She replied with a huge grin and Nat and Wanda laughed "it definitely helps" Nat nodded in agreement.
"You have plenty of men here at the Tower, do they not make you happy Miss Stark?" Vision suddenly asked from beside Wanda.
"Of course they make me happy Vis, but i have needs" Y/N replied trying to explain to Vision.
"Dude she means she needs some sex"' Sam said in his booming voice while smirking, clearly finding it all amusing.
"Oh my god i do not need to hear about my baby sisters sex life" Tony got up and walked out making everyone laugh.
"What sex life?? Its non existent....Sam's not wrong though" she muttered under her breath as she stood up, unaware that the two super soldiers heard every word.
"Hey where are you going? Dinners almost done" Wanda asked.
"Im just gonna go change into something comfier, this dress is so tight i cant breathe properly" Y/N moaned stopping in front of Nat "Nat could you get my zipper please?" She asked holding her hair over one shoulder out of the way for Nat to unzip her dress.
"Its stuck..." Nat suddenly stated sounding amused at the situation.
"You're kidding me!!"
"Nope, we could cut you out of it..."
"One of you better come over here and rip this thing off me before i die!" Y/N said turning her attention to Steve and Bucky exaggerating the situation but the dress was squeezing her so tight!
Steve suddenly looked very uncomfortable and Bucky blushed like mad.
"Come onnnnn already!" She moaned standing in front of them "one of you man up and help a gal out!"
Y/N felt someone stand close behind her before hands gripped the top of her dress.... Bucky! She could feel the coldness of his metal hand. With a quick tug she heard the material rip and let out a sigh of relief as she could breathe with ease once again.
"Thanks Buck, you're a babe" she winked and quickly walked out to go get changed.

Y/N's POV
Once i was alone in my room i slipped my arms out of my dress and let it fall to floor, i stepped out of it and took off the heels that were so uncomfortable but looked super cute with my outfit. I pulled on a pair of black sleep shorts and a white cropped tshirt that reached just above my belly button, after removing my makeup i twisted my hair up into a messy bun and headed back out to my friends.
Dinner smelt amazing and because of my hasty getaway from my disaster of a date i was starving! By the smell of it Wanda was making Paprikash and my mouth was already watering.
I walked over and grabbed a beer from the fridge and offered the others one too which they all accepted except Vision.
Shortly after, Wanda let us know dinner was ready and we all walked over to grab a plate from the kitchen island.
"Thanks Wand" i smiled giving her a kiss on the cheek before walking over and taking a seat between Nat and Bucky.
I looked up when the doors opened and saw my brother walking in with Bruce, they each grabbed a plate and took a seat at the large dining table.
"Did your clothes shrink in the wash?" He asked me suddenly raising his eyebrows disapprovingly.
"Really??" I scoffed "you're such an old man. This is what women wear for comfort, Nat wears this kinda thing all the time and you never complain"
"Nat isn't my little sister! Besides, i don't feel comfortable with these degenerates looking at you like a piece of meat"
"They don't! Tony seriously these guys don't bat an eyelid" i shrugged "i could probably walk around naked and they wouldn't care. What is the matter with you tonight?"
"Yeah Tony this is very uncharacteristic of you" Nat said leaning back in her chair and spinning the beer bottle between her fingers.
"Im just saying it wouldn't kill you to put on a sweater and say....sweat pants"
"Its the middle of summer! Its too hot in here!"
"I can fix that!.... FRIDAY turn up the AC please"
"Yes boss" came the irish voice of the AI we were all used to hearing now.
"Seriously?? You're ridiculous" i rolled my eyes before getting up to start collecting up the empty plates.
"Dinner was lovely Wanda thank you" i smiled at my friend.
"You don't have to clean i can do it....."
"No way, you cooked us an amazing dinner you don't clean too".
As i starting rinsing the plates and loading them into the dishwasher Bucky walked in carrying the plates i couldn't gather.
"Thanks Buck" i smiled at him "you okay? You've been quieter than usual tonight"
"Im fine" he returned my smile "just feeling a bit out of sorts tonight, I'm sure i'll be fine in the morning"
"Well if you need to talk you know where i am right?"
"Yeah" he nodded with a shy smile before going back to join the others.
"Y/N! get your ass in here we're watching a movie" Sam called, i finished cleaning up then went and joined my friends for movie night.
