Chapter 2: You're a Girl?!?

Asl

I followed my father, as he runs through the streets like a madman. "Dad, what you thinking? Does it evolve around those monsters I saw?" I thought in my mind. 

Surely, Dad never speaks of his past to me, even though I tried to talk him about it, he decides to drop the subject and act like everything is normal. 

But I 'm not a little girl anymore, and I deserve a straight answer. 

I hid behind a car nearby , as my father sees the imprisoned girls with twin tails, felt afraid. 

"This is not good, it looks like I have to take things into my own hands. " He said, as I was curious about what he had meant. 

He seems determined, like it was his duty . 

"All right, let's do this, Tail on!" 

As I watch the transformation , I couldn't believe my eyes. Dad... is Tail Red! But how , why?

Tail Red rushes through the monsters, as she kicks them across the yard, as I noticed the other two members of Tail Warriors had arrived. 

"Hey, Tail Red, need a hand?" Tail Yellow asks, as Tail Red asks, "What took you guys so long?"

Tail Blue replied, "Hey, we came, didn't we?"

"Duck!" Tail Yellow exclaimed as she unleashes her boob rockets! The rockets fired as Tail Red and Tail Blue looks at the display. 

"Not bad, Tail Yellow, but a little warning next time you planned to unleash those rockets and not aiming at us directly?" Tail Blue asks as I still confused of the situation. 

"Yogetsu Private Academy, you have to evacuate to safety." Tail Red exclaimed to the students and it took a lot of convincing but the students managed to escape, but one of the monsters still held an innocent little girl hostage. 

"Tail Red, you go for the attribute. " Tail Yellow said, "We'll handle the monsters."

"Got it." She replies as she said, "Sword of Fire, Blazer Blade! " 

The sword came out as she commanded and sliced the monster in seconds, as I was totally amazed of it. 

Is this truly my own father?

Tail Red quickly grabs some sort of crystal, which I assume to be the attribute. 

She lands as she regroups with the other girls. "I got the attribute, now what?" 

"I think it's best to investigate our new attribute , it has to be all right to use it during battle against Dark Grasper. " 

Tail Red nods with the idea, "Good thinking, let's go back to the base." 

Did he say Base? I followed the Tail Warriors, as I was in disbelief of there was a secret base underneath our house! 

As I look around, I saw them. "Aha! So , this is what you been keeping from me?"

The group seems to shocked of my appearance, as Tail Red deforms into my father who seems to be rubbing his head in total shock and embarrassment. 

Soji

Ooh, man. This is not what I had envision this situation would be. 

Erina, Twoerle, and Aki seems to understand that this is going to be an awkward position since they knew that on the get go, that I have to tell Asl our mission . 

 As the leader of the Twin Tails, I have to make the choices, and sometimes our missions can lead to dangerous and reckless actions. 

Asl seems to be irate as she demands an explanation, "Dad, what is the true meaning of this? You're a girl?!? How could you keep this away from me for all these years?"

Twoerle sighs, "Soji, just tell her the truth about the Twin Tails. It's no point of keeping her from it now.

I mean, she literally saw all of us in action, and I think it's the right thing to do." 

I sigh, mostly because this would be an harder on me. Ever since I decided not to be my alter ego for so long, it felt weird of transforming from boy to girl again. 

"I never thought this day would come. This would be a lot of explaining to do." I said, as Asl sat on a chair nearby. 

"I was about your age, I attended Yogetsu Private Academy. Like you, I was a freshmen. 

I um, had this obsession about Twin-tails.  One day, Aki and I meet Twoerle. Twoerle is actually from a parallel world. " 

Asl looks at her, "She's from an different world? But she's -" 

"It's very complicated . Her world was destroyed from the monster army. They are called Ultimegil.  

Their main purpose is capture the person's obsession, thus creation of their attributes. 

I was the first one to transform. In a way, I'm sort of the leader of the Tail Warriors. Aki is Tail Blue and Erina is Tail Yellow.  Your Grandmother also knew our identities as well." 

Asl seems quiet, as she was trying to cope with the info that laid on her.  

"I know it's a lot to take in. But we have a responsibility of saving the world from Ultimegil. I would not allow them to do anything they want! Not with the Tail Warriors are around!" 

Asl

I couldn't believe it. Dad had a secret alter ego, a superheroine! Dad sigh as Aki turns to her teammates. 

"I think we have to leave Asl alone. I think she has a lot to think about." Erina said, as Twoerle and Dad nods with total agreement. 

They left me in the base alone, trying to cope with the discovery of the secret of the Twin Tail Warriors. 

As I was thinking in lost thoughts, an familiar voice said, "I figured that you would be here, Asl." 

I turn to see my grandmother who was beaming at me. I couldn't bear my emotions as I ran towards the woman with open arms. 

"You're mad at your father, aren't you?" She asks softly as I looked up at her, wiping the tears away.

"Why did he kept his identity as Tail Red a secret from me? I'm his daughter after all." I ask her with a curious glance. 

"He just doesn't want you to get hurt, sweetie. It's kind of harder on him the most, he just wants you to be happy for once." Grandma replies. 

I never really thought of it like that. 

I hug my grandmother, "Thanks for the pep talk, Grandma. I think I can tell my father how I feel." 

I went upstairs to my room, as I saw my father gazing at the view of the city. 

"Dad?" I ask, as he turns around. 

"Asl... I'm really sorry I kept this -" He began to say, but I just embraced him with a tight hug, which totally surprised him as he was amazed of how calm I was. 

"You're.. not mad at me?" He ask, as I said, "I have to get used to this superheroine thing at some point. 

Just don't freak me out next time. Deal?" 

"Deal." He said, as he smiles at me.
