Chapter 4: A frustrating defeat

Soji

I couldn't believe my eyes. Asl, my own daughter has transformed into a fresh new Twin-Tail Warrior, Violet Tail! 

She seems to be ticked off as that she sees me being held against my will. She turns to Tail Blue, "So, that is what we're up against, right?"

Tail Blue nods at her, concurring at the sight of Dark Grasper. "Yes, that is our enemy, the one who let those monsters loose in the city who wants the attributes. We have to stop him." 

I struggled with the spell bind, trying my best . Dark Grasper yelled, "Stop those fools!" 

Violet Tail said, "Let's go, girls!" 

The group fought against the Elemelion, and that it wasn't easy as it was before. I watched in horror, as I couldn't do a thing, as Violet Tail and the others were getting hurt one by one. 

"No, you can't do this!" I yelled through the gag, but Dark Grasper just laughed at the terror has been unleashed. 

"This is delightful, how define!" She replied, as that she was enjoying in her bask of glory. 

Asl

Man, being a Tail Warrior isn't going to be a walk in the park. I think i am starting to understand how difficult it is to be one. 

How does Dad and others do it, fighting a opposing threat for all these years? I groan as i looked at the Tail Warriors. 

I have to find a way to get closer to my father. But question is, how? As I was trying to think of a solution, my Tail Gear Bracelet lit up as Tail Yellow asked, "Violet Tail, what's going on?"

As then a flash of light shone bright, as to my surprise, it appears that two small swords appeared before me. 

I grabbed them, as the attribute of flames erupt within them, which it spark something inside of me. 

Without hesitation, I rushed through the area in lighting speed, which startled the whole group. 

"Look at that. She ran so fast, without any command." Tail Blue exclaimed. 

The adrenaline was nothing i ever face before, it felt so natural, like i was meant to do it. But then, Dark Grasper grinned as that it was her plan to let me get close to them. 

"So, this girl is the newest member of the Twin Warriors? How pity. " She said, as she disposed my weapon, and stroke me down with her blade in hand, causing me to de-transform back. 

"Asl!" The group yelled, as I groan in pain from the attack. 

"Just hang in there, Asl. We'll get you to safety." Twin Yellow said, but i managed to whisper, "N-No. Keep going. Don't stop on my account. Save my father." 

Aika

I couldn't believe this is happening. Asl got herself hurt by our enemy in her first battle as a Twin Tail Warrior, and the situation couldn't be more dire, as that Soji is being held against his will. 

"Come on, Tail Warriors, i am waiting for your pitiful attacks. Or you're too scared because i have a valuable prisoner." 

Soji was held high as that he was struggling with the spell-bind rope. "Tail Red." I muttered, but Tail Yellow said, "We have to retreat. Asl is hurt, we have to treat her and make our counter attack." 

"But we can't just leave Tail Red like this! She needs us!" I yelled back at her, but then Twoearle slaps me across the face! 

"C'mon, this is no time to be argue! Asl is the most crucial part of the team. I hate to leaving Tail Red with that monster, but what choice do we have? 

She is very powerful than last time, and we are powerless here." 

I couldn't believe it, but then, Dark Grasper smiled, "Well, considering that this is a very promising dismay, i think it is my cue to leave this place. 

She made a exit portal as Soji was floating next to her, struggling with his might, "Until we meet again, Twin Tail Warriors." 

They disappeared as the portal disappeared, as that Tail Yellow carries the injured girl, "C'mon, let's go." 

We head back to our base, as that Asl was still in pain from the attack. As we were beginning the medical treatment, Miharu came in, asking, "What happened?"

"Asl tried to attack Dark Grasper on her own, but she got injured in the process. Her fighting style was nothing we never seen before." Erina said. 

"Really? Was it different than Soji's?" She asked, looking at her granddaughter's state. 

"Very. A weapon came out of the Twin Gear, which is unpredictable and very mysterious. Honestly, we never had such a thing happened to us since we became the Twin Tail Warriors. " Twoearle explained. 

"Hm, well, aside of that, what we do now? Soji is still captured by the enemy, who knows how long he will be in Ultimegill's hands. " I asked. 

"We'll figure it out one thing at a time. For now, let's have a deep relaxation. You guys been through a lot these couple of hours." Miharu suggested. 

Having her around felt kind of relieved. It still amazes me how calm she was in all of this, and considering how much faith she has in us. 

"Yeah, you're right. It's been a long day." I replied, as I hit to the hot bath she has prepared for me. 

"Soji, just hang in there a while longer. We'll get you back where you belong, with Asl and Miharu." I thought. 

I sighed, as that things would be very hard without the leader of the Twin Tails. 

Although it might be out of my comfort zone, i knew that Soji can hang on, he is tough as i ever be.

Dark Grasper

As we enter from the portal, Soji seems to be mad at the events earlier. He struggled furiously, as that I sigh from it. 

I lower him down, as that he fell into the ground, hard on the harden floor. The Elemelion were by my side, as that I removed the gag from him. 

He gasped for breath, as then after a while, he finally spoke. "Why did you hurt Violet Tail like that?!? She is just a teenager." 

"Ahh, so feisty about a girl. It's very interesting to know how much you truly cared about her. What your relation with that warrior?" I asked, being so curious about it. 

He said, "Why does it matter to you? You are not going to hurt anyone else, Dark Grasper, i guarantee that much!" 

"Oh, really now? Hm, as long i get the attributes of every twin tails, the more powerful i can become, and no one will be able to resist me!" I laughed evilly, as Soji seems to be skeptical about evil intentions. 

"As long the Twin Warriors are around, the attributes will be safe from you. You'll never defeat them." 

"You are stubborn. You never changed. Your grin attitude disgust me. " I spat, as the Elemelion came over with a crate. 

"You will be in this crate, Soji Mitsuka. No one will find you, as long i am here." I said, which he was in pure shock and terror.

"No, you can't!" He yelled, but I grabbed him, and gagged his mouth from prevent him from talking again, and shoved him and close the lid and locked the crate. 

"Put the crate in the Storage House and locked the door." I instructed the monster, as Soji was taken away. 

I sat down, as i am determined of getting the attributes of every Twin Tail girl. "So, Twin Tail Warriors, let the games begin."
