SAM'S P.O.V.

I woke up Saturday morning with a weird feeling. I liked Luca. Alot. Not in the relationship type way, but in the friendship type way. I didn't know Luca enough to consider the possibility of a relationship.

I got out of bed, slipped on some torn jeans, a plaid t shirt, and some boots. Yes, I purposly dressed like the cliche country girl. I even put my hair in pigtails. Suprisingly, I actually liked how I looked in it. Uh oh, Tennessee was already affecting me.

I pulled into Luca's driveway around 10:30 in the morning. I had been up since 6, because that's when I always wake up. I walked up the front porch steps, and knocked on the door. Grace answered the door.

"Hi Samantha!" Grace greeted me.

"Hi Mrs. Reynolds." I greeted her back.

"Are you looking for Luca?" She asked me.

I nodded.

"He'll be back from the stables in about 10 minutes. You can come in if you don't mind waiting."

"Um, I don't mean to be rude, but do you think I could just... walk around?" I asked her.

"Sure. And that wasn't rude at all." She smiled at me.

I smiled back, before turning and walking off the porch.

Where had I gone? I found myself by a pond and a lot of trees. I had somehow managed to get myself lost.

"LUCA!" I called out.

No response.

"LUCA!" I called a little louder.

Still no response.

"LUCAS ALLAN REYNOLDS!" I screamed as loud as I could.

I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket a few seconds after I had screamed. How stupid I felt when I saw it was Luca calling me. I had completely forgotten I had his number.

"Hello?" I answered.

"Are you at my house?" Luca asked me.

"Technically, yes. I think so atleast. I have no idea where I am right now." I told him honestly.

"I heard you yeling. What's around you?" He asked me.

"Um... A pond and a lot of trees." I mumbled.

"Alright, walk straight for a few feet till you see a cow pen." Luca told me.

I followed his directions.

"Okay, now turn right and walk about 15 feet." Luca told me.

I followed his directions again.

"Now what?" I asked him.

I felt two arms encircle my waist and lift me off the ground. I screamed as I was lifted up. I heard a throaty laugh as I was set back down. I turned around to face Luca. I hit him on his chest.

"That wasn't funny!" I exclaimed.

"Yes it was." Luca responded.

I couldn't ignore the slight butterflies in my stomach that I got when I realized Luca was lifting me off the ground.

"Okay fine... It was a little funny." I admitted to him.

Luca smiled back a bit.

Oddly, I was fine with Luca picking me up. In any other circumstances, I would have been livid. But after Luca held me while I cried.... I've seen him in a different way. Well not like a romance type way, but more like a friend way. I was in no way, shape, or form looking to be in a relationship. Luca was simply my friend.
