Bonus Chapter 2 - Vittoria and Tyler
Context: Chapter 12 Periwinkle (Before Nikolai woke up)

These were one of the very few moments where Alex freaked out, he couldn't sit still, he continued logging miles in the makeshift office they put up while the pack house was being renovated. Behind him was his Gamma staring motionless at the ceiling. Both figuring out a plan of action.

Their Luna was missing and their future Alpha was in a coma. To say they were lost would be an understatement. And to top it all off the pack was defenceless without their Alphas. The King had already sent a few troops to help with security, and they've already started rebuilding and repairing the damages.

But all of it was not enough, seeing Nikolai in a pool of his own blood scarred them, they were all already forming bonds with each other, only to be met with this tragedy.

It was always the Beta's and Gamma's first instinct to protect the Alpha and the Luna. But with what happened they both felt shame and guilt with failing to do so.

Alex's mate suddenly walked in and pulled them out of their brooding episode. "Alright that's enough! I could feel your misery from a mile away. The pack could feel it too, and as of this moment they don't really need more negativity flowing through the pack link. We have to do something, and with the current power void there's a lot of people lusting over the Alpha position, but we need to secure it until Nikolai wakes up." Both men nod their heads knowing she was right.

Moving towards his mate, he gently tugged her to his chest whispering "where do we start". And as of cue two Alphas entered the room. Kent looked as tired as they were, he must've felt the absence of Elise too. Ever since they were kids he'd always been attached to her. And now only a feeling of emptiness could be felt with her side of the bond they shared. The Alpha King looked impassive, but his eyes were of a broken man, he loved his siblings dearly and the thought of losing his baby sister tore him deeply.

They would have to first figure out what happened to Nikolai and how they could wake him from a coma.

After a long discussion about the matter, Kent suggested the help of a wiccan. The King, the Beta, and the Gamma only snarled at the suggestion, arguing that a wiccan brought them into the situation and there is no way they'd seek help of a wiccan to get them out of it.

But after hours of reasoning and convincing, Kent got them to relent. He assured them that the wiccan he was about to call was someone he trusted with his life and the favor would not post more harm.

After discussing how they would govern the pack while the Alphas were gone, they've come to the conclusion that Alex would be temporary Alpha with assistance from Kent and the Alpha King.

With all that said and done, Kent got up and excused himself so that he could call his wiccan friend. But with their enhanced hearing, they could still hear the very amusing conversation Kent had with his mystery friend.

From what they heard, it was a lot of bickering and Kent making lewd jokes which only made the other person more irritated. After a few minutes of begging and bargaining, Kent walked back in with a triumphant smile and announced that his friend would arrive in an hour. And until then they discussed the details of their plan.

After an hour passed boarder patrol linked them of a wiccan trying to cross the border. To which Kent suddenly got up and sprinted out of the room in pure excitement. They were all weirded out by his sudden change of mood, but it was Kent they were talking about he dealt with heartache through humour and doing crazy stuff.

After a few minutes, they began to hear bickering again, and to their surprise the Gamma suddenly stood up, looking frantically around and sniffing the air like a mad man.

Then the door opened to reveal a beautiful girl with electric blue hair and ivory skin, she had grey eyes that looked almost white. Everything about her was hauntingly beautiful and her aura screamed danger. It felt as if she could see right through you — right through the very soul you possessed.

"MATE" they suddenly hear the Gamma scream right across the room, with great speed he tried to get near her, key word: tried. His mate wasn't having it clearly, she casted a spell that kept anyone from touching her, and that broke Tyler's heart in a way.

The witch took long strides and sat in a chair. She began by introducing herself to them. Her name was Vittoria, the sound of her name seemingly mesmerising the gamma. He thought it was perfect, that she was perfect.

"Kent, what was the emergency, you don't usually give a great bargain" she said. All eyes turned to him, seemingly curious as to what he gave up to get her help. Kent just shrugged and told her about the whole ordeal.

Her face paled at the information she was given. "Consider the bargain off" she said, which angered the Alphas in the room. Her response was holding up a finger telling them she's not done yet. She continued with explaining that she'd do it for free, for the wiccan people affected by his mistakes and for old times sakes.

With all of it said and done, she asked to be escorted to Nikolai's room to check up on him. He grabbed his hand to which her mate growled in the back but she only rolled her eyes at him. Grabbing a blade and her obsidian bowl, she cut a little incision into his palm and let his blood drip into the bowl, with a few words and herbs, her eyes glazed up and the bowl seemed to glow.

She gasped for air when the light died down to which her mate came running to her side. She explained that she only saw a little bit of what had happened. A scene where Elise was screaming and of him dying, she saw Elise's aura glow and she felt the power surge from it, then afterwards it all went black.

She explained at that point she couldn't do anything else. His wolf was healing ever so slowly and that only a mate could help with it. The look of disappointment washed over everyone in the room, even her mate looked sad. She wanted to comfort him so badly but they had to talk about it first.

She was always terrified of finding her soulmate, wiccans and wolves had different beliefs. To wolves mates were sacred, it was the best thing that could ever happen to them. But to wiccans it's considered more as a suggestion, they had the option to stay together or fall inlove with another entirely.

Now finding out that she was mated to a wolf only further complicated things. She was a nomad who loved her freedom. She loved seeing the world, but being mated to a wolf meant pack-life. A life she so desperately wanted to escape, even her coven couldn't make her stay.

Infront of her was a brooding man, but she didn't know what it was directed at. Her or his alpha, or maybe both. She wanted nothing but to comfort him and love him, but too much emotions were flooding her and she was at lost.

She approached him and held out her hand, the man looked between her and the gesture. Flashing her a blinding smile, he grabbed the hand and pulled her close, hugging her tightly and nuzzling her neck. The action caught her off guard, but it brought a sense of comfort to her.

She initiated the conversation by explaining why she freaked out upon them meeting and following with an apology. Ty accepted the apology, and simply asked her to never cast the spell again, which made her laugh hard.

They proceeded to talk about how they would approach their relationship and handle being of two different species. Vitto also voiced out her apprehensions about being mates, while Ty assured her that they'd take it slow and figure things out as they go which satisfied her.

Though they wanted to announce to the pack that they were mates, they knew the situation at hand and that it wasn't appropriate. So they agreed to keep a low profile until the mess was cleared up. And Ty also wanted the blessing of his Alpha before going through with everything.
