Finally here we are. I'm going to africa. My mom will be so happy once she sees me. Sure She'll lack words to say.
Yesterday was fun with Holly..my bestfriend. We've known ourselves since 3rd grade, and she's not been less than a sister to me. She's been very supportive, especially during the period when my parents divorced.. And since then, she's still stuck by ma side. I'll miss this girl...... We both cried our eyes out yesterday.. Though we both knew the reason was for the best.
Holly's boyfriend, Drew was the one dropping me at the airport. The ride was soo noisy with Holly talking about the trip we had to Kenya last summer and how she wish she could come to Cameroon with me.
Arrrghh.. I was going to miss that joyful noise. I'm not even making a year there but we're both behaving like we won't ever see each other... The bond's so strong.
We kept on discussing the rest of the ride till we arrived. Drew got my boxes out of the car while Holly helped me roll the boxes into the hall.
I hated it when the airport was so full.. Infact, alot of commotion made my head spin.
Once i got checked in, i kissed them good bye and left to embark the plane, tears rolling down my eyes at the sight of Holly's. I'd started for the lodge when i felt someone's arms hug me tightly.. Holly's
"Damn Jazz I'm gonna miss u" she said between tears
"The hell i am too.. I'll miss u so fucken much we'll sleep face timing" i replied hugging her too
"Promise.."
"I promi...". " Damn Holly I'm your future husband.. Not Jasmine so leave her the fuck alone !!" Drew shouted from his spot
"Don't be a spoiled brat and shut up" i said causing him to roll his eyes
"Please be safe there, i won't forgive myself if anything happens to you "
"I will be safe, it's not a jungle " i said laughing
" i know, damn.. "
"Let me go before i miss my flight.. " i said pecking her jaws.
"Safe journey jazz..." She shouted as i ran to embark my plane "call me when you reach "
"Sure.." I shouted back before going ahead to board the plane.
