A/N: Whenever I put a (*) after a sentence Shun says, it's a pun.
At the back of a Japanese sweets shop, a boy with (h/c) hair and multicolored eyes was sleeping. His mother knocks several times before entering the room. "(Y/n), wake up!" She shakes him. "Nnggh, 5 more minutes, Oka-san..." She sighs. "5 minutes have long passed! You're late for your own ceremony!" He opens his eyes and looks at his clock. He shoots out of his bed. "Ahh! It's this late already?!" He shouts as he speeds up his morning routine.
"Oka-san, why didn't you wake me up sooner?" He says as he puts his school supplies in his bag. "I did. Multiple times, in fact. But you always said '5 more minutes, 5 more minutes!', so I left you. You looked so cute!" The boy starts blushing. "O-oka-san! Stop saying embarrassing things!" He grabs a piece of toast from his father's plate and kisses his cheek. "Well, I'm off!" He puts the piece of toast in his mouth and puts his shoes on. "Have a good day." His mother says as her son closes the door.
~(Y/n)'s P.O.V~
Nice to meet you! My name is (Y/n) Nijikō. I'm a 1s- I mean, a 2nd year high school student at Seirin High School. I'm 5' 2", 17/16 (A/N: depends on the chosen birthday) years old, and my sign is Aries/Cancer/Leo/Capricorn (A/N: depends on the chosen birthday). As you can see, I'm running a little late, but this isn't anything new.
While I was running I admired the cherry blossom leaves gently and beautifully falling. Heeeeh, spring's already in full session, huh? I think to myself. Soon enough the Seirin gates were visible to me.
"Interested in rugby?" "Have you ever played shogi?" "You gotta play baseball if you're Japanese!" "Swimming! It feels great!" All the Clubs were trying to recruit new members, including mine.
"Basketball! Basketball Club! How'd you like to join the Basketball Club?" I grin at my cat mouthed friend. "Morning, Shinji-chan!" "Ah, morning, (Y/n)!" "What are you doing?" I ask him as he hands a flyer to a passerby. "Handing out flyers to potential members, of course!" I giggle at his enthusiasm. "Koganei, you can't be serious." Shun-chan, who was handing out flyers as well, along with Rinnosuke-chan, says. "How else am I supposed to say it?" Shinji-chan asks. Shun-chan smiles. "'New kids, join the Basketball Club! The Basketball Club needs some serious help!*'" Shinji-chan backs away from Shun-chan. "I've had enough of your jokes, Izuki." I giggle at his lame pun. "Don't encourage him!" He turns to Rinnosuke-chan. "Mitobe, make sure they can hear you!" Rinnosuke-chan nods and silently hands a flyer to a passerby. Shinji-chan and I sweat drop. "He isn't even gonna open his mouth. How scary..." A blue haired guy walks past me as Shinji-chan talks to a potential member. I watch him easily pass by the massive crowd. It's like he's a shadow or something...
"Basketball! Basketball Club!" "Join the Club and you'll be cute, too!*" Suddenly a huge shadow envelops me. "Are you guys in the Basketball Club?" I slowly turn around to face him. The tall - extremely tall - figure had slightly tanned skin and 2 toned dark red hair, with matching dark red eyes.
I wish I hadn't.

"A possible recruit is here..." Shinji-chan says, comedic tears streaming from his eyes. "Oi, (Y/n)! You were supposed to be with us!" Riko-chan yells. "A-ah, sorry, I ran into Shinji-chan then forgot..." She sighs, irritated. "Is this the Basketball Club?" The tall - totally scary - figure asks again. Riko-chan and Junpei-chan look at the giant. She gulps then nods. "Yeah." I run to behind the table and cower in fear behind her. "I want to join." He sits on a chair and lets go of Shinji-chan (who he's been holding the entire time). "The Basketball Club." He says in a gruff manner. "Eh?" Riko-chan snaps out of her daze. "Welcome, welcome!" She hands him a cup of water. "I'm sure you know, but our school only opened last year." I watch the unnamed giant drink the water he was given. While Riko-chan talks, he interrupts her. "I don't care. I'm going after I leave my name." Junpei-chan, Riko-chan and I watch him write his name. "Huh?" She looks at the application. "You don't have a reason for joining?" After gulping the last of his drink, he scrunches the cup then replies. "Not really." He gets up. "Basketball's the same, no matter where you go in Japan." He walks away and successfully throws the discarded plastic cup in the bin, even though he wasn't looking. We watch him leave, and he directs his fiery orbs at me. I gulp.
