Texting Lucas

Am I enough?

Riley's POV

After the excitement a couple of weeks ago Lucas and I have been really happy. The only person that knows about me being pregnant and it's Maya. I haven't told my uncle yet. I'm so scared of what he is going to say. I don't know what to do. 

After a little bit of thinking I finally got the courage to call Josh.

(Bold is Josh, regular is Riley)

Hello

Hey Josh. Listen I have to tell you something.

What is it? Are you ok?

I'm fine. Great actually. Ok, I'm about to tell you something and please don't freak out.

Ok just tell Riles we don't keep things from each other.

Ok here goes nothing. Lucas proposed.

WHAT!!! YOUR ENGAGED!!!

Yes but that's not the biggest news.

What do you mean? 

I'm pregnant.

JOSH!!!!!!

Sorry did you just say that you're pregnant?

Yes, I did. Don't be mad, please.

How could I be mad at that the fact that I'm going to be a great uncle.

Oh, thank god I thought that you were going to yell at me.

Riley, I would never yell at you. I love you too much to ever yell at you.

And I love you too thank you for being cool about this. 

Of course. Hey, I have to go but we can talk later.

Ok. Bye.

Bye.

I hung up the phone and I heard Lucas walk through the door. I'm so happy that I'm with him because I would still be in my normal boring life if I didn't meet him. He is the father of my child and he is my world. But sometimes I wonder if I'm enough for him. I feel like I'm to plain. Because he should be with a girl that his a perfect body, and I don't have that. I didn't even feel him sit down beside me. 

"Lucas," I said looking up at him. He looked down at me, "What is it, baby?" He said. "Am I enough?" I asked. He looked confused."Am I enough for you." I said once again. "Of course you are. Why would you think that?" He said with a little bit of worry in his voice. "I just feel like you should have something better in your life and not some girl that you just happened to text while you were drunk," I said started to cry, oh I'm going to hate this about being pregnant, you always cry. 

Lucas wiped away my tears and gave me a slow passionate kiss. "You will always be enough for me if anything it should be me asking you if I'm enough for you, but I know that I am even if my life can be bad at times I will always have you by my side. And that will never change. Because you are my one and only, the mother of my child and my whole world. I love you too much to ever lose you. Just even the thought of losing you even kills me, just think if it actually happened my world come crumbling down and I have no idea on what I would do just to get back up again. I love you and only you."

After he said that I was balling. "I love you too Lucas and are my one and only as well." He smiled and kissed me again. "Come on, we don't want to be late for your doctor's appointment." He said as he got up. "Ok, I'm ready." Then we walked out hand in hand to the truck.

We finally got to the doctor's office. We went in, checked in, and finally got called by one of the nurses. While Lucas and I waited on the doctor we had a little small talk then the doctor finally came in.

"Hello, Riley it's nice to see you again. How are you feeling?" She asked hooking up the monitor. "I'm doing pretty good I'm sleepy a lot," I said with a laugh. "And that is completely normal. So let's get started now shall we." I lifted up my shirt, and she put the jell on my stomach and we started the ultrasound. "Well everything looks good would you like to see what your baby looks like right now." She said when she looked at me. I nodded my head. when she turned to monitor. I smiled and my eyes started to water. I looked at Lucas and he was smiling like crazy. 

"Would you like a picture to take home?" I didn't have to think twice about that. "Yes, we would. Thank you." I said with a smile. "You are very home Riley. I will be seeing you a month from on, is that ok with you." She asked. "Yes, that is perfectly fine. Once again thank you." She smiled and handed me the picture. Lucas and I left after. When we got home I was really tired and so  Lucas and I went to bed and we fell asleep in each other's arms.
