Never Thought (NaLu & END Fanfic)

Chapter 13

 Little did Erza know that the reason that he always went on walks was not because he enjoyed the scenery or the fresh air. It was alway in the hopes to find something he was missing. Or should I say someone. And little did he know that after this walk he could stop wondering full of flimsy hope.

Once Natsu exited the building only to see the figure that was previously in the sweaty and loud hotel walk down the street about 10 steps in front of him. The only difference between the figure from before is that now he could smell the persons scent. And oddly enough it wasn't the normal stinky smell of sweat but instead the smell of freshly picking strawberries after a heavy rain fall. It was the type of smell that once you smell it a wave of happiness over comes you and all of your pervious worries disappear. It was the smell of ...

"Lucy!"

As soon as the name was shouted the figure with the relaxing scent whipped around causing he hood of the cape to fall off and the woman's beautiful golden hair to go flying. The blonde looked at Natsu with those curious, deep and sparkling chocolatey brown eyes. The beautiful image would be for ever implanted in his mind before his vision became blurred do to his eyes being filled with tears.

They both ran to each other as quickly as they could, and embraced in a tight hug. Both sides using the others sholder to cry upon. At this point Natsu couldn't hold back and kissed the girl he loved square on the lips. He expected to be pushed away but instead she kissed back. They kissed for a couple of seconds before Natsu rested his head upon he shoulder repeating the same 3 words over and over again.

"I love you"

"I love you"

"I love you"

Lucy patted his back then pushed him off her for a moment. Natsu Wass panicking was she rejecting him, was the only though in his mind. All of his fears faded away when Lucy said the same thing he said to her with the sweetest smile.

"I love you too Natsu," and with that Lucy kissed him, the same as Natsu did last time. Except this time Natsu was the one in shock. 

Lucy removed her lips from his, giving Natsu a second to process what she had said. He then smiled the way he did years ago and kissed her once more.
